I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!
How about introductions and a little info about each person?
I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!
MasonMommy- I have two girls Sophia she will be 5 next month and going to Kindergarten full-time in the fall. Ava is 3.5 and she will be in preschool/daycare come August if I get in! If my husband finds a job. He got laid off in April, so this is a really scary time for us! We just moved to INDY for his job at the end of Dec, so this was a shock to us! We don't know too many people here and that is why I am glued to this computer with you guys, trying to fit in and get into school! That's my crazy life right now!!! but still hopeful and determined!

Sunshine, what side of town? If you're a south or eastsider and ever need daycare contacts, let me know. Although our kids are grown (20 & 22), our community roots are deep! I know several quality caregivers and am happy to network people together for such. We went through 5 sitters the first 18 mo of our son's life - it was AWFUL! I well remember that pain and anguish!

I grew up in Carmel, Lora! The schools are wonderful. I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's job, and really hope he's able to find something quickly. I was laid off last year and it's frightening.
I'm desperately looking for daycare. I wanted to take my son (he'll be 2 in September) to our Church daycare, but the waitlist is so long I'm pretty sure he won't get in in time. I'm so scared to just start calling people - they may look nice but how do I know?! Very few of my friends have kids to refer me places and the ones that do are stay at home moms. Now that I got into the program, this is my big new worry. If anyone has suggestions I would very much appreciate them. We are in the Pike area, my parent's are in Carmel and I'd go anywhere in between there if someone has a good rep!!!
Finally got a hold of someone and they said they were preparing them right now and will mail them out Monday June 1st! aghh! Well atleast it saved me the trips to my mailbox for tomorrow and Monday! Good Luck to everyone else!

Nada from btown...yet again. I am leaving for vacation Sunday, and won't be back until Friday. My vacation will turn from relaxing to a stressful, what if filled. Please cross your fingers that it comes tomorrow.
OK MasonsMommy- if I don't get in I will interview for the position of watching your little one! I know the feeling of finding someone you could trust your life with. My children are my life! that is one major reason I am changing my career and going into nursing. 3 days 12 hours is much better than traveling like I did before kids. 5 days a week and doing sales plans on the weekend. I was married to my job! I am one of those types. I have other reasons too, but I don't want to post my Bio! I may become famous one day and you guys could use it agaiinst me! LOL
Another mail day gone and no letter. I am so anxious for some confirmation that I got in. Have a good weekend everyone and congratulations to those of you that got letters already!!!
