Waiting on Ivy Tech acceptance letters thread

Published

I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!

How about introductions and a little info about each person?

I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!

Hi fellow hopefuls! I applied for fall, i have been lurking around here trying to get a tally on you all applying at fort wayne. i only applied there and i only applied for RN. to be honest, i wasn't stressed until now. now i am freaking out!:thnkg:i got 84 on my teas. i know thats not as good as some of you! jeez good job guys!:yeah: but i have all As in my prereqs. i am taking micro this summer. everyone says its really tough and i am taking two other classes online. hopefully, i do okay and HOPEFULLY i get in for fall! so is it true that if you get accepted, you get a packet and if you don't you get a letter?

well, here's to more waiting and more worrying :banghead:

Hi ahcgirl! I think you have a very good score for Fort Wayne. Hope we're classmates in the fall! This waiting is driving me crazy!

I can't believe it's already May 20th!!! Letters anyday, I hope they send them out by the end of this week so we will know before Memorial Day! It is possible they could mail them out Friday and we get them Saturday. I know down here, mailing in the same town, you get mail next day.

ok no more waiting. I want to know tomorrow! :)

I haven't posted in a very long time, and never have on this thread. We should all know real soon..my scores aren't the greatest: 3 A's, 1 B, TEAS of 84 = 194. Applied to RN & LPN in Anderson/Muncie. Realistically, I hope to get accepted into the LPN program. I could redo ENG111 for an A, but I'll see what happens here shortly and go from there.

I also have three A's and a B, and I only have 191, but I applied anyway to both programs and at two locations. I hope for just one acceptance. And if I have to do LPN to RN it isn't much longer than waiting to reapply for January anyway. Good Luck!

Only 10 more days! How is everyone holding up? Hubs and I are gonna run away for the weekend - that will help - some! Good luck everyone - fingers crossed for all of us!

the mailman didn't bring any mail at all today and the way i looked at him u'd think he killed my dog or something. i getting a little nutso.

anybody take micro yet?? or technical writing? i'm going to have a busy summer.

hi VictoriaM! i hope my score is good enough! you should be good to go though! 215! thats awesome! are you taking any classes this summer?

hopefully they will send letters this week. i'm dying here.

I just finished Micro and ANP 201. I didn't think either were too bad, although I hated the labs in Micro. I got A's in both, but they did require work. I've heard some Micro teachers are worse than others.

This summer, I'm taking dosage calculation online just because I've heard it'll be super helpful, although not required. Other than that I'm hoping to relax a bit and try to enjoy my summer before I have no time at all to enjoy myself. I would LOVE to get a letter this week.

I took technical writing last semester in person, easy class. we did a lot of memos, a resume, cover letter, & an easy instruction manual on an ink pen. we did do one formal report at the end of the semester. It was an easy A.

Specializes in MICU - CCRN, IR, Vascular Surgery.

Technical writing was incredibly easy. I took it online last summer and barely spent any time on it. I took Micro (on campus) this past Fall and I loved it. My teacher was great and I really retained what I learned in the class. It might be one of the best/most interesting classes I've ever had.

No letter today :( I know it's super early, but I still had to check.

I just got A's in both Micro and Technical Writing. For Micro I had an awsome instructor. I don't think I'm allowed to put up her name but she just had Micro on Mon. & Wen. evenings from 5:30 to 8:20. I ended up with a 98% in that class. I'm not trying to brag it's just that I have never gotten that high of an A and I think the class was pretty indept. I loved the class! An writing was a piece of cake. I took it online, other that having issues getting my grades, I did great in that class as well. Are these the only two classes you are taking? I think that these classes make a good combination. Good Luck!

teboz-congrats on your A's! I think I will have this same prof this summer for Micro, and have heard great things about her from cthomas! Woot! (Anything would be better than the profs I had this past semester!) I took Tech Writing last summer at Ameriplex/Indy and agree with the opinions already posted... easy class, easy A.
