I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!
How about introductions and a little info about each person?
I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!
I have looked through the treads and have kind of mentally tallying the scores (wanna see what I'm up against )
I have a low score. I got an A in ENG, ANP 1, and Phsy, but got a B in ANP 102(missed Abu 3 points!!!) I've only taken the TEAS once and got a 78 (Science kicked my you know what, 63%!!) In every other area I scored higher than average based on the local chart. So does everyone mind sharing the following info??
Total score:
Indy 191
Columbus 188
Applied ASN & LPN
Thanks!

I applied to the Lawrence (Indy) campus, to ASN only. My final score was 212.

I am applied to Evansville with 206.
Has anyone looked into J.Everett school for LPN cert? I am just wondering if I don't get in at Ivytech, to go there start working and go for the transitional ASN @ Ivytech! I too just want to get started this fall.
I'm very familiar with the JELC program - the last I heard they are talking about discontinuing it. Myself, I would try another program!:) I heard Med Tech's program isn't too bad. I'm taking their plebotomy course this summer because I want to be the nurse who never hurts when I start a line! When I was in the hospital to deliver my last son, the new RN assigned to me blew my vein three times! My poor arm was purple and swollen! I felt sorry for the poor RN, she was miserable - she seemed so over her head (good thing it was my 4th pregnancy!).
AHHHH, last night was my final final - I feel so light and carefree! (until the summer session starts, at least! then it'll be back to craziness!:selfbonk:)
Hi.
I am new to this forum and am waiting on acceptance for the Fall 2009 ASN program in Fort Wayne. I have decided to join some of you in the online chemistry class CRN 14588 and not take ANP 201 like I had originally planned. Does anyone know anything about this class? Do we do labs at home by ourselves or is it mostly just tests and quizzes or what? Anyway, I am looking forward to taking this class with some of you. It will be fun to be able to discuss any questions I might have with others students.
Hi Xandersmama; I am in the same boat. I am relatively new and lurk around this board more than I comment. I am waiting for a letter from the Kokomo region. I am sign up for the on-line Chem class. I think it is the same one (14588) I will need to verify. I hear it is a manageble summer class.
FYI Sunshine,
J Everett Light is accrediated only by the Indiana State Board of nursing and not the NLN. If you chose that route, be aware that you may obtain a degree from there, but none of your credits can transfer. No student at J Everett Light can get into Ivy Tech's transitional program.

sunshine, I have a Med Term book if you want to buy it. It's Exploring Medical Language 7th ed., plus flash cards and CD.
