Finally today the courier arrived with package, with our immigrant visas inside.

We hope to book the flight in the next couple of days to go over to FL at the beginning of September.

Thank you for all your help and I am sure there is going to be loads I still need to know in coming months.

Hello, I know you haven't directed the question at me but I'm from UK and soon moving to the US of A :)

One of the reasons why I decided to move was having plenty of social support ( friends and relatives) in CA. Cost of living here is very high, taxes you have to pay etc etc... I'm also curious to know what it's like to live and work in America plus lots of wonderful places to visit! Even the kids can't wait!

We're leaving in October ..... :p
