Hey guys, i took my exam yesterday and stopped at 205 and tried the trick says on HOLD. By the way when i was on break i had to call my work to tell them i won't be able to make it at 10 to pick up my patient, i was in the restroom one of the staff caught me and told me that he had to report what he saw, i told him that i didnt know i just assume that you can't use your phone during examination and inside the test room, and then he told me that he will see what will the board say if you have to be sent home or continue, and i told him that it was my job and he was like oh ok but then he said i still have to report it you still can take your test and we will let you know if you have to be sent home...., But i am still worried because i saw someones post that she was also got caught and had the same results on hold and then she got a letter from pearsonvue that she violated the law..... IM SCARED guys i stuided 24.7 for that test.. i just had to let it out and tell everybody whats going on...;(

Im ready to re test and im sure i passed this test!
but, im worried if they will let me re take it or not !
or, what would be the worse consequences !!!
Hi jojomx!
Have you heard anything yet?
I am a nurse from Sweden and I took the Nclex 2 months ago. I took up my phone without even thinking for a second while on Nclex break. They sended me an incident report, denied my appeal letter and my test is cancelled. Now I can either choose to reappeal to the National Board or just leave at as it and let it go to the Ca Board and let them decide wheater I can retake the test or not. Is there anybody who can give me any advices what to do? The onky thing I care for is to be able to retake the test! So stressed out right now!
The paperwork one gets with instructions for taking NCLEX state the policy on electronics in very plain, black and white verbage. No electronics allowed, of any kind, for any reason, including phones. This applies to breaks as well as actual testing time. It isn't ambiguous! They state it in complete, plain English! With one's entire career riding on this exam it is just stunningly foolish not to read every single word on any paperwork recieved from Pearson Vue about the testing day. My sympathy level on this one is, frankly, pretty much nil. One phone call or one text can seriously delay or even kill many years of hard work to get to this point...why on earth would anyone do that to themselves?? There is zero reason for "not knowing". It isn't a matter of "I didn't know". It is a matter of "I didn't read the paperwork" or "I didn't absorb the rules" or even "I didn't think the rules applied to me" or "I didn't think they would enforce them".Read the paperwork. Know the rules. Don't even bring your phone into the testing center. Plan on your exam taking the entire 6 hours. And yes, you will at a minimum have to wait another year (and pay for all over again) for the right to sit for NCLEX if you violate these rules. The entire testing center is filmed. If the violation is taken seriously enough you may be marked as unethical and NEVER get to take it. This is fair, this is right and this is NOT a surprise. It is all over the paperwork, all over the website and simple common sense.
Every word I agree with.
In one of my classes, an instructor handed us a few pieces of paper. She said "read this paper, and then sign your name on the FIRST page." I was reading through the material, and on the last page, it said "JUST KIDDING, DON'T SIGN YOUR NAME!" I didn't sign. Myself and 3 others (out of like 27) were the only ones to read the paper all the way through. And we were the only one's to get credit that day.
Follow instructions to CYA.

Here's an update....sort of.
On Wednesday, my test results were no longer "on hold" with Pearson Vue and I was able to do the quick results. Unfortunately, I failed. But, I had mixed emotions because I figured it was a good sign that my test was no longer on hold. I would much rather be able to retake the test in 45 days than wait a year or worse.
Today, I received my results from the nursing board. Like I said, I went the entire 265 questions. I was "above the passing standard" in one category - Basic Care and Comfort, and "below the passing standard" in one category - Health Promotion and Maintenance. Every other category I was "near the passing standard". I feel very relieved that I received the results from the nursing board and not some nasty letter or something. They also included the paperwork to apply for a retest. I hope this means that I'm in the clear and I can take the test in 45 days.
