  1. I received the results from the MN State Board of Nursing. I went 265 questions and nearly 6 hours. I am "above the passing standard" in one category (Basic Care and Comfort) and "below the passing standard" in another category (Health Promotion and Maintenance). All other categories are "near the passing standard." I know that I was very close since I went 265 questions. My question is, do I need to be "above the passing standard" in all categories to pass? If someone was above the passing standard in several categories, but below in one, would it be possible to pass the test?
  2. Here's an update....sort of. On Wednesday, my test results were no longer "on hold" with Pearson Vue and I was able to do the quick results. Unfortunately, I failed. But, I had mixed emotions because I figured it was a good sign that my test was no longer on hold. I would much rather be able to retake the test in 45 days than wait a year or worse. Today, I received my results from the nursing board. Like I said, I went the entire 265 questions. I was "above the passing standard" in one category - Basic Care and Comfort, and "below the passing standard" in one category - Health Promotion and Maintenance. Every other category I was "near the passing standard". I feel very relieved that I received the results from the nursing board and not some nasty letter or something. They also included the paperwork to apply for a retest. I hope this means that I'm in the clear and I can take the test in 45 days.
  3. Thanks for your support!! Well, most of you anyway. I haven't heard anything from Pearson yet. When I do the trick, it says my results are on hold. I have been praying a lot. I saw from one or two people that posted here that I may have to wait a year. Does anybody have any more information? I tried directly emailing virtuoso, the person who started this thread, to see if she has gotten any resolution, but I have not heard anything back yet.
  4. The same thing happened to me on Friday. I took the NCLEX RN and on my break I texted my husband that the test wasn't going good. He called and told me he would pray for me. When I was done with the test (265 questions) the lady asked me if I used my cell phone on break. I said "yes, I sent a text message." She said that she'd have to "chart that". I don't think she saw me, but maybe someone in the bathroom told her? I honestly didn't know that we couldn't use our cell phones on break. Afterwards I looked at the rules and it indeed said that we couldn't, but I didn't see that beforehand. I've been working as an LPN for years here in MN. I'm not worried now if I have to retake my test, but I am really scared that the board will not let me get my RN or do something with my current LPN license. Have you gotten any resolution to your situation???? Any more info?????
