viewed cheating,what to do,if anythig?

Please advise.

I know everyone has worked extremely hard to get where they are. I do not enjoy having to ask for this type of advice...I have seen, (more than once, in more than one class) two people who are constantly cheating on exams.

They sit right next to each other and neither this instructor nor the last instructor we had in another class noticed it.

I do not know how to deal with it any longer. I am not the only one who has noticed it but no one wants to say anything unless it can be anonymous. Please offer any suggestions you may have to this sensitive topic. These people are going to be NURSES! I just can't wrap my head around it. Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.

So what ended up happening?? what evidence do you have?? Other than you "saw them..."

Are you not doing good yourself..? So you feel you should throw others under the bus..?

I agree!!! concentrate on your own behavior! People don't have enough to do in nursing school... that they are worrying about other people?? They will get theirs eventually! They will not be able to pass NCLEX if they cheat their way through nursing school.

Mind your own business! I'm sure you will get ramifications in the future!

Just get through nursing school.

Methinks they doth protest too much.

From the tone of some of the posts on this thread, I believe there are many cheaters who did pass the NCLEX and are now practicing.

I say go ahead and report it. Stop the dishonest behavior before it becomes a problem for the patients. People who are willing to be dishonest don't stop their dishonest behavior at graduation!

I don't think most people report cheaters to make themselves feel better regardless of their grades.

People report cheaters because it is WRONG to cheat!!

When did cheating become acceptable? Cheaters throw themselves under the bus and like to throw blame at others for reporting them. If you cheat, be prepared to get caught. It is no one' s fault but your own.

That's a little out of line. Some schools have policies requiring their students to report cheating, and it's in everyone's best interest to do so. Frankly I don't care if they can pass the NCLEX or not - they are caring for patients in clinicals and could hurt someone in the process if they're too stupid to figure out how to study and get a fair grade on their own.

I saw a lot of cheating in the LPN program I went to. It was for really basic stuff that should have been known, too. I never said anything. It did give me great satisfaction knowing none of the habitual cheaters ever passed the NCLEX. I didn't witness any cheating in the RN program. I guess it depends on the type of cheating if I would report it or not. Someone paying someone else to write a useless paper wouldn't bother me as much as someone having someone else do their pre clinical prep work, or copying off of anothers test.
