Love it
Really like the skit and I loved the 80s but I don't think anything or anyone should be stuck on an 80s system and 80s technology.
Heard that the skit is relatively close to the reality. One immigration layer said that when he made a visit recently, he saw someone still using DOS. As in Disk Operating System. I hope that was just an exaggeration on his part or everyone is screwed. :smackingf

I wanted to laugh but at the back of my mind I couldn't get away from the feeling that it was just a little too close to reality for me to feel comfortable!!:hlk:

Even funnier when one has gone through the USA immigration process!! Was 6 months of pure enjoyment!! That same visa (CR-1) that i came in with in 2004--took 6 months!! Now its taking like a year!!

If it were only a year we would be thrilled but the predictions are closer to 5 years these days. Consider yourself really lucky. We have been waiting to get our I-140 approved out of Texas and it is longer than 8 months already and then comes the long wait for the green card. After looking at the video it has us worried that our application got buried. There was an update on our application in January but then absolutely nothing since then and our attorney has heard nothing either. Makes you wonder how efficient the processing is doesn't it?

that was funny.. but hopefully it's not true... :>
a CR-1 is a marriage based visa,so a bit different than an immigrant worker visa!! I have been eligible since end of Oct 07 to file the paper work for USA citizenship. One of these days will get around to it. Don't really want to,lol but oh well--not slamming the USA, just I will always be a Canadian, and yes I know i won't loose my Cdn citizenship!!
And yes to some degree thats the way they do work, lol If ya have ever called and tried to ask a question: one asks 4 different USCIS operators, your bound to get 4 different answers!! Great site for relationship visas is visajourney.com awesome free site
