VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

If anyone interested in buying my books please inbox me if you're interested. I graduated already :)

Hello everyone, would like to know if anyone could tell me roughly how much veeb is and if they give alot of financial aid & what it is like. I'm 18, just got out of high school in June and I have a 1yr old son & really would like to have a career that is good for us. I always wanted to be a nurse but I think I will start at the bottom, thanks to anyone who gives information

:)

The website veeb.org lists tuition for Nassau Co. residents as $12,500; non-residents as $13,000. There are some other things we have to pay for that the website does not mention. According to the VEEB catalog, total tuition and fee charges for the PN Program are $13,260.00. Financial aid is according to FAFSA; it varies. Loans are given which can make up more than half of tuition.

PLEASE look into Southern New York Association in Manhattan. If they didn't pay my VEEB bill, I would have been giving them $10,000 out of pocket.

Hi mymy1219 I am actually on clinical rotations now. VEEB's is a great school of course just like everywhere you go you will have the negative and the positive side. You are in this program for 11 months and after you are done their is a world of opportnities out there for you so I am making the best of my experience. The teachers are knowledgable the school itself has some updating to do lol but im sure they will in time. The course work is challenging but it prepares you for an RN program if thats the next step you want to take. As long as you keep up with your studies and and stay focused on your goals you will succeed. While you are waiting to take the entrance exam go through this thread its really informative and study from a GED book. best of luck!!!!
