Im totally convinced that nursing schools only exist to make money. I am a new lpn grad and i have sent out my resumes to over 65 places including ltc, nursing homes, hospitals, etc.... I have called, faxed, e-mailed, gone in peron etc. And i have gotten nothing, not even a phone call. I would love to to see what happens when all the current nurses retire, get fired, get sick, etc....and wanna see where thats gonna leave every sick person out there. I have given up to look for nursing jobs. I have to pay my loans off and i have no money so i had to get a cashiers job at a local grocery store. So any students out there that are interested in becoming a nurse ......you might just end up like me..... A cashier making 8 bucks an hour. Good luck to all of you searching for your jobs. I took my NCLEX yesterday, and I tried the trick and the message said exactly this: " This candidate has recently passed this exam, you cannot register for this exam". I couldn't believe that the pop up said that I actually passed....so does this mean that I definitely passed??

Congrats to all who have passed their pre-entrance exam. I am currently a VEEB student and wanted to let you know not to hold your breath. You might be waiting for a few months for an acceptance letter. I tested march 17 of last year and didnt get my acceptance letter until July 21. Im not saying you have to wait that long for one but dont expect it to come right away because they are still testing. But enough of that. I would recommend you all mentally prepare yourselves for 11 months of studying....studying and studying. This program is intense and you need to extremely focus. If you have a job you might want to consider to decrease your hours or just have no job. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I think the instructors are great. The scientific foundation instructor is so funny. The school is strict but i guess thats a good thing. I think the quiz was soooo easy. Hope all quizzes will be this easy....yeah right.....lol. So far so good. But I know I won't say this once the second semester comes around, but I'm up for the challenge. Good luck to everyone....and start studying!!!!! Oh by the way did the Vocation adjustment instructor mention when our next test is? I know that the fundmental test is Friday, and scientific foundation is Thursday, correct?.

Hello all, the weirdest thing happened today and was wondering if this happened to anyone else. I received two books today and they were replacement books for the Medical Surgical textbook and study guide. They originally sent me the second edition, and replaced them for the third edition, which is what we are suppose to receive.....so I just wanted to give everyone the heads up. Look at your medical surgical book and study guide and make sure its the 3rd edition, and if its not you should call Rittenhouse to make sure they send you the right one!!!!

Hi Bishor....thanks for answering. Yes, I have the same problem. Journey for Lifespan is on back order and wont be available until November. I'm am also having a hard time answering some of the questions because I don't have that book.....so I don't know what to do either. I was thinking about calling the school to tell them whats going on....but I dont know what to do....but dont worry your not alone. If there is anyone out there that is having the same problem as us please let us know......and if possible do you have a solution? Thanks!!!!

Oh, wow....thanks for the heads up. What type of assignments are they?. Are they long?

I'm just curious.....what assignments is everyone talking about? I didn't know we needed to complete assignements. Is this something I will find out on orientation day?? Thanks!

Thank you Missme123. I'm not sure. I think they order it for us but I'm not too sure. I ordered my books through Rittenhouse too, but I havnt received an email or anything telling me there is a problem. I hope everything turns out OK.
