VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

i also revieved recieved that same letter today. but the only thing is that on may 31 which is a saturday i have to work that day and if i call out i dont get paid. i am going to call and try to reschedule for a day during the week. does anyone know what that pre assessment exam about? do they require u to pass. i am going to private message you to make the travel arrangements

Last year I called to change the date and they told me no. This is the only day a doctor and his staff will come in and do the physical. It's mandatory you be there. Your immunizations must be in order and you have to take their drug test. The test is to see where you are at. You are already in the program. This test has NO effect on your grade whatsoever. The teachers use it as a tool when you start to see your progress in the program.

Is the pre-entrance assignment or the written assignment mandatory? Can you tell a little about this assignment? Does it require a lot of work and a lot of time to spend?:confused::uhoh3::uhoh21:

The pre entrance test/orientation is mandatory. Last year we did the written assignment and they only collected the interviews. You had to interview three older people. The written assignments are what you will learn in the first weeks of class. Its for your benefit but the instructors wont check it so its up to you. I know you guys are anxious. We have 14 more weeks until graduation. It will go by so fast. You just have to study hard. BLESSINGS!

Do i have to buy the textbooks at the school or online? Which way is better or the cheapest. For the physical how much money i have to bring. I already know it costs $125 but as i was not born in this country maybe i will need more immunizations. It is just i do not want to go there with a shortage of money.:confused::uhoh21::rolleyes:

Buying online is cheaper and the physical gets added to your tuition bill. Did you pay a $1,000 deposit yet?

yes, i already pay my deposit a month ago. But, I see on the paperworks i have that the price for the physical is $125. I was thinking the school wants me to bring the money for the physical. it seems the textbooks are cheaper online. Awesome!!!!:yeah::D:up::rolleyes::typing:lol2:

Do you think someone in LPN school can work part time? From the way i see things for myself, i will probably buy a car for the school. And with this carpool thing i think it will be to much for me. Therefore i will buy my own car so that i can do the carpooling. Are You working while in school? How many hours do you work in a week. Do you think it will affect my grades?:uhoh21::confused::uhoh3::rolleyes::typing

Some people work full time, part time and none at all. I left my day job to do this program. Thankfully my husband supports the family in order for me to do this. It's a personal thing. First semester is easy so you can start off working and take it from there. Are you sure you want to get a car with these outrageous gas prices?

hello guys i was unable to log on cause i did not have access to a computeer. then when i was able to log on i already done forgot my password so i had to re register again. anout this car pooling thing. I am looking for somebody else who also drives to carpool with. Number 1 it will ease the money situation. right now the gas prices are so ridoclusly high that if i have to pick up somebody and drop them off every day i would have to charge them at least $55 a week(SUV). then it will be a better ease on me not to drive every week. I could drive for 2 weeks and another person drives for the other 2 weeks. therefore no money have to be exchange and nobody have to really depend on any one if one cant make it one day. If anyone is interested please let me know before the may31 so we can arrange to meet eachother at the medical.

Well, I am taking your offer into consideration. But, i do not if I am living too far from your house.And i think the money should negotionable a little bit. This saturday i will be at Veeb for the physical also.:rolleyes::cool::typing:zzzzz:confused:
