VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Oh I was wondring why you would worry about their bridge program. You are pretty much on your own. They have told us that in July, schools will come here to recruit.

i recently got my accepted also. is any one living in canarise ONLY area of brooklyn that is willing to carpool? also how does the carpooling work? if you carpool with 2 people who dont drive those 2 people will give u say about 45 wkly each for gas. (SUV)? or can u choose to carpool with other drivers and take turns weekly with driving one another car instead of giving money?

Well, since i got accepted at Veeb, I am also looking for carpooling. I am living in CARNARSIE BROOKLYN almost by the L train. Maybe, i will buy a car for the commute, but right now i would like hear from people in BK who are willing to carpool.

hi i recently got accepted to veeb also and is living in canarise. i m willing to carpool as well but i will have to talk my dad into letting me do it due to the fact that my car is under his name and he might have issues with me traveling back and forth to long island especially with other people in it.(car Insurance issues) if i am able to drive it will only have to be with people who live in canarise only as well due to the fact that i have a child to take and pick up from daycare and the belt pkwy is only seconds away..it will be too much for me to go out to other areas such as flatbush, east ny, or any other area. if i m not able to drive then i m willing car pool with george and give 45wkly, or if anybody else who lives in the area with a smaller car. oh and does anyone know where on long island are the clinical sites located and do u have a choice of placement? thanx

You have no choice of placement. The clinicals for Brooklyn people are usually Exit 19 off the southern state, nassau university medical center, or hospitals in far rockaway. BE16 aren't you glad you listened to me? You have possibly two people to carpool with already. It works out on gas because everyone is going to the same place. $45 a week is a feasible amount. You guys will work it out.

i am located between seaview avenue and E102nd street. L train is about 5or 6 blocks from me which is rockaway pkwy.
