VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Call tomorrow and let the secretary know that you sent the references. I will be in clinicals this week so I won't see the counselor. It is not EASY to get the 85. You have to REALLY study because the tests become a little more difficult in preparing you to critically think for the NCLEX. Most people are just trying to get out. Very few want to go to Helen Fuld and THEY strive for the 85. So it really is what goal you have set for yourself.

So, which way these people want to go for their bridge LPN/RN. I did some researches. Besides, Helen Fuld That almost takes full credit from your LPN couses, the other ones that will do the same are Monroe College and Nassau Community College. I called they said i have to wait. Well, i am very anxious about it. I will have peace once i get in the school. And what is the average grade you can do in Veeb?

There are many schools with LPN to RN bridge programs but Molloy and Helen Fuld are the two that are articulated with VEEB as I have mentioned a million times. It is hard to compare averages because everybody is different. You should not worry about that. I may have a 99% aveerage and you may have a 75%. Mine doesn't help you so what does it matter? Your focus right now is to come into VEEB and do the best to your potential. Self-actualization is different for everybody. Some people don't even want to be a RN right away, some want to work as a LPN for years first. So you just worry about you and little old you right now.

I was trying to save you a trip from goin there. You have to get a money order from the post office and mail it in if you don't want to go there. They will get it once your name is on it. You will get a receipt back right away.

Akanini,

thank you for all your helps. Currently, i have one more step to overcome which is the physical. I am praying that i am healthy enough for the school policy.:redbeathe:yeah::smokin::lol2::bowingpur:bow::typing:saint::D

I handed in my reference letters on Tuesday and got the acceptance letter today. I actually expected to be waiting around a couple of weeks.

Well that is great news for both of you. I guess they have been able to pick up the pace after all we are going through right now. Now you guys pay the deposit and don't take any funny drugs that will mess up your drug test on the physical. Our physical was the first Saturday in June las year. Basically it will be a drug test and checking ALL your vaccinations. Make sure you bring all your vaccination results and try to get the varicella if you never had the chicken pox and hepatitis B vaccines if you can. Do you both live in Brooklyn? Maybe you guys can link up to go to the physical. They will give you a time but that doesn't matter just make sure you are there that day. Don't be afraid to open your mouth and ask for a ride. The school zones people together by zip code they say for clinicals. My carpool of three consists of us living within eight blocks from each other so it does work out some way somehow.

Thanks for the info. Does the school inform you of bridge programs btw? Or is it up to the student to go look for that info?

Veeb has their own bridge program and informs students by mail if they have to come. This program is for students who missed the entrance test results VERY close.
