Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Applicants 2014

Hey everyone! I couldn't find this thread anywhere so figured that I would start one for all of us who applied to Vanderbilt's Pre-Specialty Entry program (for non-RNs) this fall. I applied for the PMHNP specialty. What about you?! :)

I also called and found out I was accepted for the FNP track! I honestly cannot believe it-I'm so excited! Has anyone started a facebook group for accepted students? We should do that:) Good luck to everyone still waiting to find out!

Thanks for sharing this info. I'm curious if they mentioned anything about scholarships in your acceptance letter?

No scholarship info yet. I think those who qualify to compete for the full ride are supposed to receive instructions enclosed with their physical letter (I'm not one of those who qualify; my GPA isn't a 3.9 or 4.0). The rest of us will probably have to hang tight until financial aid letters/estimates are released.

FYI in case anyone is in the same boat - no update and no email for me. I'm a NMW/FNP pre-specialty applicant

Don't give up! I'm also an NMW/FNP applicant. I just got accepted, but I talked to another applicant (same specialty) who got an NMW phone call acceptance and hasn't received the email or online update. So, still doesn't seem to be much of a method to the madness. Don't read too deep into it yet! Good luck!

I got the NMW acceptance over the phone, but the final acceptance to the full program as a status update online. Are you a dual-track person too?

Has anyone direct entry heard anything? I just got off the phone with admissions and she told me they hadn't worked their way through direct entry (FNP, at least) and are still

getying pre- specialty done. My status over the ohone was "awaiting decision" and online is still just "submitted".

would love to know what ither direct entry folks are hearing.

Just called admissions. STILL awaiting decision! This is getting ridiculous. I'm going for AGPCNP...guess my program is taking their time to make decisions.

Hey everybody I just found this thread! I received an email yesterday evening that my application status had been updated. I was accepted to the women's health program! Congrats to all those who have been accepted and hang in there for those still waiting to hear!

I am. I never got a call from NMW, though, so I'm kind of assuming the worst.

I got the same response for FNP. I asked her if it was a bad sign and she said no, they're getting new decisions in everyday
