Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Applicants 2014

Hey everyone! I couldn't find this thread anywhere so figured that I would start one for all of us who applied to Vanderbilt's Pre-Specialty Entry program (for non-RNs) this fall. I applied for the PMHNP specialty. What about you?! :)

I don't know if anyone's posted this so far, but to those who have been accepted do you mind sharing when the deposit is due to hold your spot?

Congrats to all those who have been accepted thus far!! Patience and prayers for those of us still waiting!!!

I can only speak for myself here, but as an applicant receiving notification of my acceptance over the phone, I was not given any information about the deposit; I'm just waiting for the official letter to find out that information, though some of us may be able to find out at the open house this weekend. I heard from my specialty's faculty directly, though, so perhaps those calling admissions might have additional info.

Speaking of calling to find out admission decisions, has anyone received an actual acceptance letter through the mail yet?

No actual letter yet. I am going to open house as well, just RSVP'd. My status has not changed on my application page either, still says "submitted." According to what Cheryl told me, we should be hearing today, pre-specialty people. Good luck to all those waiting to find out!

They didn't tell me anything about scholarship notifications or deposit due dates. I also didn't ask...so there's that.

No actual letter, no updates on the application page ... just a vague verbal confirmation over the Phone .... better than nothing at all but still; come on already Vandy!

I am just so ready to know!! I was handling the anxiety okay, but I just want to know!! Snail mail is killing me...

gsills, how are we supposed to be "hearing" today. Have letters been sent out already? Will our status change online. What exactly does that mean? Thanks!

Yeah this has been one long week of torture. I'm beyond ready to know what my decision is!!

Has anyone called in and spoken to admissions today? I saw that someone yesterday posted that it could be the weekend or Monday before we hear. I am going out of town tomorrow so I would really love to know if I will have an answer before I get back later next week! Do we know if letters are going out today? Or if they will update our status online when they send out the letters? Will they email to let us know that we can check online?! I'm too much of a chicken to call admissions myself! :)

I keep refreshing this page whenever I have a few moments, just waiting to hear that someone got a letter in the mail!! I am also too much of a chicken to call admissions myself, so I am faced with the waiting game! I live in Washington state, so my letter may take a little while to get all the way here... Boohoo! Hope the online status updates successfully! Good luck to everyone still waiting!
