Vanderbilt MSN 2020

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Updated:   Published

I just attended Vanderbilt's fall open house for the 2020 year and I'm really excited to be applying! I'm hoping to connect with other Vandey applicants so we can offer support and info along this process. I am applying to the post BSN dual CNM/ FNP program.

Hello all! Did anyone else get the email this morning about Vanderbilt not conducting interviews or the REDCap webinar this year for the NM and NM/FNP applicants? They included an informational webinar which I think would answer a lot of questions that have come up on here.

I didn't. I applied for Psych though.

I know this is pretty late in the game, but can I ask how everyone is applying for financial aid? I've filled out my FAFSA but I can't find any info on Vanderbilt's website about if there are any other steps that need to be taken.

Nothing else needs to be done! Based on my open house notes, they award every full time student with a certain amount of financial aid, from $3,000 to $11,000 (made possible by endowments). It’s determined by reviewing the application and no additional application is needed (beyond FAFSA). They will award three student with full tuition scholarships; 1 pre-specialty, 1 direct-entry, 1 minority student. They will look at GPA and statement of purpose to determine those recipients.
only one scholarship is awarded per student. I hope that helps!

Unfortunately priority deadline was November 1st and they look at applicants who apply by the priority deadline first before looking at applications from after that date. They say spots fill up usually before they get to the second round of applicants. You can always apply just in case because I have heard of people getting in after the deadline but they implied at the info session that it's highly unlikely.

Was there an email sent out about applying for financial aid/FASFA by VUSN?
