  1. I found out the same time as the GEPNs. MSN specialty entry students must take a Summer class starting in June. It was supposed to be online in June and on campus starting in July covering advanced physical assessment material (this Summer 100% online). Then we start our specialty programs with the other MSNs (those who just completed their GEPN year) in August. There is only one start date option in all the programs as of right now.
  2. Hello, I am an RN and was accepted into the nurse midwifery MSN program. I honestly don’t know how competitive it is, how many students apply, or how many students they plan to accept into the direct specialty MSN programs each year. I can tell you that it seems like I am the only nurse midwifery direct specialty student starting this Summer. There are only a handful of others in the other specialties. I would say that you have nothing to lose by applying! If you can attend an info session, I definitely recommend doing so.
  3. In which specialty? In midwifery they went up to tied 2nd from 4th.
  4. I was waist-listed back in November but haven't heard anything since. I'm going to Yale though so I'm not waiting to hear back... Have you not heard anything about decisions?
  5. Anybody direct entry as an RN into the nurse midwifery specialty? We have to be on campus in the week of July 15th. Hoping to connect with anyone starting the nurse midwifery specialty year this fall!
  6. Did not get into NM/ FNP. Looks like I’m going to Yale! Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I think we are all going to end up where we belong! What a wild ride this winter has been!
  7. Are you prespecialty?
  8. No change in mine either. ?
  9. I had a very realistic dream last night that I got rejected and was trying to wrap my brain around getting notified early and what to do next as I woke up, before realizing it was a dream. Trying not to obsess over this is apparently not working! ?
  10. Someone from the MSN 2020 thread was told by admissions that decisions are coming out February 14th at 5pm. Maybe wait until Monday to ask? It makes sense because their Spring open house is February 29th which would give admitted students two weeks to make travel plans if they want to visit.
  11. I applied to NM/ FNP. Also waiting for Vandey to decide but I may have to put down a deposit just in case...
  12. I forgot to share, I applied for direct entry CNM/ FNP.
  13. I am not calm either. Luckily I’ve filled the next three days with lots of work, appointments, and activities to keep me preoccupied. I’m only waiting for Vandey and UPenn decisions. I’m so ready to start planning my family’s move across country (I’m a planner). We’re in the home stretch ya’ll! Best of luck to everyone!
  14. Thanks for the feedback. My accelerated (second degree) BSN program treated us a little like children, well the first 3 of the 4 semesters. It was pretty frustrating coming in as a parent, in my late 30s, with another degree, and a previous career to be infantilized, so I can sympathize. ?
  15. I really hope so. I did some digging and last year's applicants started getting decisions about two weeks (15 days) before the spring open house (which many accepted accepted students want to attend). This year the spring open house is on Saturday, February 29th. Maybe the 14th will be the day! *finger crossed*
