Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

I agree. I thought it might change to under review when they started working on it but that is not the case.

Do we know if we will get an update on the portal regardless of what the outcome is? If we are wait listed, admitted or rejected will they all show up as a status update or will just good news show up on the portal?

It will all be listed as a status update within your portal.

I second that...i'm waitlisted at Yale and my app never changed from submitted. When you click into the application though there is an update letter for my interview (vandy didn't use this feature that i know of, my interview was done via email) and there is another update letter for the waitlist decision. Both are clickable links within the app.

Yale uses the same system as Vandy.

at this point I think calling admissions will only further delay the process...

It would be nice if they could send us an email at least to say decisions are delayed or the date at least ?

So like I said earlier I had to call about a transcript and the lady on the phone told me “the earliest you will hear about a decision is the 15th and the latest the 18th. At this point we are just waiting for each department to send their decisions.” Whatever that means. I’m assuming she’s a secretary or something to that extent. But I was asking about whether or not she thought it would be helpful for me to send transcripts that included my last semester (since my GPA went up). I didn’t even ask about a decision deadline she just through that in before I hung up the phone. So I want to say it’s safe to say we will be hearing from them this weekend? ??

I took the opportunity to call because I had a similar situation w/ an updated transcript, and decided to segue into the Q about when decisions may be going out. The woman I spoke with in admissions was very apologetic + embarrassed that they have NOT YET gone out - so for those of you that read the thread and are expecting decisions today/ this weekend, do not be disappointed if you don't get news. In fact she told me that "hopefully they will go out by the end of next week (Feb22nd)" and she was very careful to emphasize HOPEFULLY.
