The response to my email :

“We are not able to provide an exact date. No decisions have been released yet for the fall 2019 class. We understand it is hard to wait!”

I think it has nothing to do with the new system but more to do with the fact they have too many highly qualified applicants and they are struggling to make a final decision.

Not to throw in any new ideas into the mix - I was emailing back and forth with one of the assistant deans a couple days ago and was told we will receive a decision on Feb 16-17. I personally don't have my hopes up for a decision today or tomorrow but just want to pass this along...

How do we find out? Do we get onto the application portal and it would notify us (if a decision has been made)? Or a good old fashioned letter?

You will receive an email which will prompt you to check the application portal.
