Vanderbilt MSN 2019

Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

The open house on March 2nd is for anyone accepted or interested in the MSN and DNP programs Vanderbilt has to offer. They host two open houses/campus visits per year, one in October and one in March. I’m not sure if this is what you are referring to but essentially it is open to anyone looking to gather information about the options not specifically for accepted students.

In early January a specialty director told me about an Open House on March 2nd. I don't know if it's for accepted students or not though :( This is what she sent me:

"Once the open house details have been finalized (around early Feb.), an email will be sent to you with the link to register to attend the open house. The information and link will also be posted on the homepage of the School of Nursing website, https://nursing.vanderbilt.edu/"

I agree. They would get a lot fewer phone calls if they could just tell us a date rather than giving a different answer every time. I wouldn't even mind if they said it was going to be next Friday, as long as I had a definitive date.

Hi ?

I called admissions earlier today and was told there was a glitch in the system. All she could do was apologize and HOPE decisions go out by the end of next week. She said IF decisions were to go out by the end of next week it will be for the applicants who applied before the deadline. Hope this helps! The wait sucks :(

Seems like the glitch in the system is that they haven’t received the final decisions from the programs yet! Hopefully we get the decisions next week!

who knows.... Vanderbilt needs to be more straightforward with their answers.

She didn’t say. She just said letters go out Monday as she’s overheard many conversations about it apparently this week and especially today.
