I don't know if this will help but I was pulled off the waitlist prespecialty over a week ago so it is moving. Or one spot opened...

Which statistics course did you take for UVA? I read you are using your GI Bill. I am hoping to get a slot with AFIT. They recommended UVA. I would love to go to LSU.

It's so hard to walk away from my direct entry FNP Nashville area Vandy acceptance, but I decided to go with UVA (also git accepted to UMD and Duke). The opportunity cost is getting to me!! I really hope this helps someone off the waitlist and the experience is a dream come true. Good luck everyone!

Did someone make a pre-specialty facebook group?? I only see an unofficial admitted students page for both pre-specialty and direct entry... it would be helpful to have pre-specialty page since we are all going to be together for year 1!

Would anyone be willing to PM me and talk to me about Vandy for NP?

I am planning on pursuing my NP and thinking about using my GI bill. I have my BSN now and a bit of experience. I would love to pick anyone's brain who is willing to let me.

I am specifically interested in the costs and if anyone has used their GI bill since it is a little nuanced depending on how you use it. Hoping to hear from some of you, thanks!!

Hi all!

hopefully you can help. I'm planning on applying to vandy for 2019. I'd like my application put in like the day that the application opens- I'm a planner. I do have some clinical instructors that I'm hoping can write me letters of recommendation.... but they are very busy and I'd like to give them a good heads up. Does anyone know if I ask them to write me letters now, and they give them to me in sealed envelopes, I can hold onto them until the application opens? Or do they have to personally send them in to vandy? I'm worried about them doing it on time :o

Hi Thegivingtree! On the application- you enter the names and email contact for the person and it sends them a link to upload their letter. Hope this helps!

I had to walk away from Vandy this year too. Hopefully open up a spot for someone else. I couldn't turn down a dual program FNP/ACNP and DNP for half the cost online.
