ABSN University of Southern Maine 2019
Yes, definitely!

ABSN University of Southern Maine 2019
I'm also getting a green check mark, and the symbol key above says that a green check mark means 'Accepted/Admitted.' Still, until I get the letter in the mail it will be difficult to believe that I really got in (I applied for the options entry grad program). USM is one of my top choices so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, but this seems like it's good news...

2019 UPENN BSN/MSN
Has anyone heard anything more about the FNP/PMHNP video interviews that are mentioned in the email? It says that we should get an additional email this week, but I haven't heard anything yet.

2019 UPENN BSN/MSN
I did. I haven't heard anything back from them since the email confirming that they'd received my application. I think that we'll hear about invitations sometime in November.

2019 UPENN BSN/MSN
I think that this is the third attempt at starting a UPenn 2019 thread. I'm surprised that there isn't one yet given how much activity the UPenn 2018 thread had at this point last year.

Vanderbilt MSN 2018
That's good news. Can you elaborate on what you've heard?

MGH IHP DE NP 2018
Does anyone have any idea when waitlisted applicants will start hearing back?

Vanderbilt MSN 2018
Have any PMHNP waitlisted applicants or PMHNP Round II applicants heard anything? If so, please post

Vanderbilt MSN 2018
But keep in mind that KMD is applying for the PNP track and that their notification dates might be different from ours. I'm also applying for PMHNP and when I had my interview in December I was told that the first batch of decisions would be sent out the last week of January/first week of February. I really hope that the wait isn't stretched out an extra two weeks. Good luck everyone!

Vanderbilt MSN 2018
Has anyone else besides Rose heard back about an interview for the PMHNP Pre-Specialty?
-
USM Maine Options MSN 2018
I was told that decisions are going to be mailed out at the beginning of next week, so we should be hearing back soon! I've heard lots of really great things about USM's program and that Portland is an incredible city, so I'll definitely be checking the mail hourly starting tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else who's applying!

Shadowing and/or Volunteering for Psychiatric Nursing
Hi Everyone! I'm planning on applying to Direct Entry MSN programs in the Fall that offer a specialization in Psychiatric nursing. My question is about what kind of shadowing/volunteer experience would best prepare me for the field and would help most in the application process. Currently I have no professional experience working in the mental health field or in the broader field of medicine/nursing and right now I'm worried that would be the biggest issue with my application, and for that reason I want to do everything that I can between now and next Fall to address those concerns. Because an outsider can't gain first hand knowledge of the field by shadowing a psychiatric nurse or volunteering in a setting where psychiatric nursing is being carried out, I was wondering what the next best alternative would be. Thanks in advance!
