I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!

I don't believe it's a rolling admissions process. When I went to the open house I was told that. The nursing schools reviews the applications and then the specialty program reviews the applications. What I think is happening that some specialties are reviewing at a slower rate or that some specialties have more applicants to review. They also may be doing waves, too

Hi there!

Congrats to all who received an acceptance to Vanderbilt's nursing program! To prospective and current nursing students, and graduates, I was wondering if anyone has any insight/thoughts/information regarding the specialty portion of the program.The MS courses are done online and students meet around 9 times through the year. What are people's experiences with this format?

Is the January 14th deadline just for some direct entry programs or does it likely cover all the specialties?

Hi Everyone,

I applied to the direct entry PMHNP program. I contacted the office this week and they still haven't been able to give me an approximate day of when we will hear back about admissions decisions. They told me that my application is still being reviewed, and each specialty hears back at different times.

I'm really thinking I did not get in or that I got wait listed, as I am seeing so many people with my speciality already notified of acceptance. It's not really surprising, as I wasn't feeling it after my interview, but I wish I had resolution. There are some other programs I feel a greater affinity for, and it is still bugging me. Ha ha! I don't like limbo so much.
