Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,
I called Admissions and spoke with two ladies. The first told me I was past the initial review and that I am now awaiting a second review. She then patched me through to a second lady who said that I'm waiting for a faculty review. I asked if the decision date had been pushed back because I was originally told I would be notified 'early January.' She said that the date had not been pushed back, but due to the high number of applicants, a decision would likely be towards the end of the month. As a note, the first lady I spoke with said I may be interviewing. I asked her for clarification because I applied for Family and I didn't think that specialty completed interviews. She said that the comments on my file were unclear and that is when she sent me through to the second lady. When I asked the second lady about interviews, she said my file was only awaiting faculty review. I hope this info helps others in the same boat.
I just called as well. I was told that my application is still awaiting review, and that it is currently "in their bin" (they will review it soon, maybe?). The lady I spoke with also said that she does think that they have been phone interviewing psych applicants recently, but she's not sure if they are planning on interviewing all applicants or not.
Just spoke with admissions. I was told my application was still in the hands of FNP dept and they are working daily to get them reviewed. She said don't worry that others in the same speciality have already been finding out, it's just a long process and it takes time to get to them all. She said they haven't finished checking everyone's out yet. I applied prespeciality and applied before November 1, just FYI
Hi everyone!
For those of you who have been accepted (or for those still waiting to hear, for after you've been accepted!) I've just made a facebook group for us to get to know each other/ ask questions/ talk about housing etc. If you search for it on facebook, the title of the group is Vanderbilt MSN Accepted- Fall 2015. Here is a link:

Congratulations to everyone who has accepted and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!

Hey guys!!!
I wanted to wish everyone good luck in this process! I just graduated from Vanderbilt's Nurse-Midwifery program! Hang in there during this waiting game! In case this will ease your minds at all, I interviewed on Feb. 9th, 2012 and received my acceptance email on Feb. 20th. I don't think the timeframe is universal across specialties or years, but it may give y'all a better idea of when to expect responses :)
