Hey guys!
Vandy's application opens tomorrow! I am so anxious to start the application. There is a Pre-Specialty thread already started so I want to start this one for direct entry. Post questions, comments, experiences, and anything else. Good luck everyone! You've got this!

Same here. What's your experience? How long have you been a nurse? Trying to get a feel for who applied to what program ?

I apologize! I misspoke, I applied to prespecialty, so I have no nursing experience. It seems like few people applied to agacnp compared to the other specialities. Hopefully that works in our favor ??Good Luck!

I have read over my responses a few times, then I just close everything because it is what it is now! These next few weeks are going to be tough. I hear back from another AGPCNP program that is local to me for an interview soon (if I even get one). I would be happy to get into either!

Good luck on both!
Hello everyone. I just received a call from Vanderbilt University. My heart dropped when the caller ID said Tennessee. The lady stated she called because I am in New York State and clinicals can’t be completed there so I have to give her another location that I will complete clinicals. I said Atlanta, GA or anywhere in Pennsylvania. She said she would put Atlanta but that I would be able to do clinicals anywhere except NYS or Tennessee. Then I said OK and she said, OK, thank you, good bye. I think that only made me more nervous and anxious than ever. Does that mean I’m accepted? Did anyone else get a similar call? I already knew when I applied that I would not be able to complete clinicals in NYS so I thought I had already selected to complete them elsewhere (outside of the Tennessee area). Fingers crossed. I applied to the FNP speciality program. I am already a RN.
If you received the phone call regarding clinical placement, then I am sure that means something!! I envy you!!
I just graduated in last December BSN and I am taking NCLEX next week. Do you think I have to update my BSN diploma with NCLEX result to the Vanderbilt ??
I am super nervous these days since I saw some postings saying they take BSN,RN applicants first than new graduate..
?
I received my ADN and became a RN a few years ago. I am still in my BSN program, that will be completed by the end of this month (Feb 2021). So, while I am a RN, I have not officially completed my BSN program, so I can relate to the nervousness you feel relating to not having your RN compared to me not having my BSN. I think as long as you have everything in hand before the program starts, you will be fine. They probably have a certain number of spots for each type of applicant. I hope to hear something concrete soon.
