Vanderbilt 2021 Direct Entry

Hey guys!

Vandy's application opens tomorrow! I am so anxious to start the application. There is a Pre-Specialty thread already started so I want to start this one for direct entry. Post questions, comments, experiences, and anything else. Good luck everyone! You've got this!

I am pretty nervous about admission process, since I applied only to Vanderbilt and I am new grad.  I applied part-time. Do you guys know how many people applied to PMHNP program 2021 Fall ? ?

Howdy y’all, I just applied last week to PMHNP program, real late to the game I know... but hopefully the rolling admissions is kind to me. Got a solid cumulative GPA 3.77, Alumni PMHNP LOR and a decent personal statement hopefully! Hope that we all get into this bad boy program!

We are about a month from when we should hear from admissions! I am going crazy. Anyone apply to their adult gero primary care program?

I know I am late, but can I still apply for their PNP program?

I applied to the adult gero acute care program. I did apply late though so I'm not holding out much hope...I've been a nurse for 18 years, have a 4.0 in my BSN program and work in organ transplant. I have really good letters of rec from our chief of surgery for kidney and our medical director of heart transplant so I'm hoping that helps!

I really just need a Yes or No at this point so that I can plan my life accordingly ? the wait is killing me slowly

hi, have you received the financial aid packet as yet? I think they said "late January".

No, I have not received anything since I submitted my application. I also have not filled out my FAFSA. Does anyone know the deadline for filling out financial aid? Does Vanderbilt have a deadline different from the FAFSA?

hi, as per their "new student timeline"...they suggest completing the FASFA between January and February https://nursing.vanderbilt.edu/admissions/MSN/timeline.php
