Valencia Nursing Program for Summer 2015

I can't believe that after I finished my pre reqs and took my teas test and passed it, I had to wait almost 4 months just to get an idea of this waiting list. I thought they forgot about me and was panicking lol. I was even thinking if my application went thru or not. Well finally on june 5th, I received my acceptance letter stating that I will start in May (Summer 2015). Anyone else out there too? Im sure they say one can be bumped up earlier than that. Another question, all the things required in that breakdown of things u need to purchase for nursing 1, (watch with second hand, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, 2 calculators) does all that come in a bundle or do we have to go get these things individually?

I am very excited/nervous. Everyone that I come in contact with is telling me that this is the hardest thing they've ever done. Yeap I feel so much better lol. I wish I had a head start of the material nursing term 1 because I do not want to be lost. Anyone knows what topics it consist of? By the way im new on here! First post :-D hope to make new friends that are going thru the same and possibly classmates.

Everyone has been quiet this week! Lol... Must be super busy....hope everyone's first week went smoothly.... I am starting in January. Any info on your first week would be great!!! Take care guys!!

I finally got my acceptance letter for Summer 2015. Any info on the shots would be appreciated. I would like to get the medical done sooner, rather then later.

Congrats! They would probably ask you to start spring '15.

You need to have you MMR, Hep B, TB screen, TDap, Proof of having Chicken Pox or having the vaccine, Flu Shot (not needed for Summer semester). You'll also need your CPR certification.

I applied 9/3/14 and received an email this week for 11/04/14 Spring 2015 it was too soon for me because I started a job at Orlando Health. So i picked/confirmed for Summer 2015 . I cant believe the wait was short everyone complains it takes a long time. I was waiting to see when they will send me to orientation.

Old thread but curious if anyone was still actually starting in summer 2015? I may end up being in the program this May and it would be nice to know future possible classmates.

Hey how is the nursing program? I was suppose to start in fall 2015 ,but they notified me that I could start in summer 2015. I ordered some textbooks and started some reading . Any useful tips ? Any books that u need the access codes to?
