Valencia Nursing Program for Summer 2015

I can't believe that after I finished my pre reqs and took my teas test and passed it, I had to wait almost 4 months just to get an idea of this waiting list. I thought they forgot about me and was panicking lol. I was even thinking if my application went thru or not. Well finally on june 5th, I received my acceptance letter stating that I will start in May (Summer 2015). Anyone else out there too? Im sure they say one can be bumped up earlier than that. Another question, all the things required in that breakdown of things u need to purchase for nursing 1, (watch with second hand, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, 2 calculators) does all that come in a bundle or do we have to go get these things individually?

I am very excited/nervous. Everyone that I come in contact with is telling me that this is the hardest thing they've ever done. Yeap I feel so much better lol. I wish I had a head start of the material nursing term 1 because I do not want to be lost. Anyone knows what topics it consist of? By the way im new on here! First post :-D hope to make new friends that are going thru the same and possibly classmates.

I just passed my TEAS yesterday and put in my app. So It will be weeks before I know anything. Have you completed your AA? I have a few more classes for my AA and plan on taking those while I wait.

Hi sorry for the late response didnt see this. It will take like 3 or 4 months after u pass ur teas test so they can email u ur start of the program. They tell u to respond to the email to confirm if u are willing to start.

Yes I finished my AA general degree 2 semesters ago. If u have the time go for it.

Hey they said I'd start summer 2015 and guess what. They said I can start for fall 2014, meaning a month of notice for me. Im shocked!

Hi kayrox, lucky you, congratulations. They actually emailed me about starting this august but i just confirmed last friday. So no confirmation from them yet.

I'm also set to start Summer 2015 and was surprised to be offered a spot for Fall 2014! I'm gonna pass it up since its way to soon. I need to prepare mentally, physically and financially (most of their requirements such as the background check, physical, immunizations, uniforms etc. are out of pocket)! Hoping to start Spring 2015 though! Good luck to those who are starting next month!

Wow! Bumped 2 terms early. From what I understand, they are still working on Summer 15 class. I figured I would be put in there, or Fall 15. Hoping to be bumped to Spring 15. I'm willing to start this fall, tee hee.. But that will not happen.

Have you found out about the uniforms yet? Do we have to buy theirs, etc?

Had you all ready completed everything listed on the acceptance letter? The background check, shots, BSL, etc?

It just dawned on me that you said it took 4 months. The web site says it should take 10-12 weeks. When I did the app, I thought there would have been more to it. But it was pretty much all automated. Which leaves the question, why did it take 4 months. LOL!

Just an update, i received the confirmation letter today so it looks like ill be in the orientation this coming friday.

No they lied to us about that 10 to 12 weeks haha. They do take a lot more than that and theres nothing u can do to rush it! But on the bright side, they are letting me start earlier than ever! :')
