I wish that all state's health department's online immunization databases were accessible. I can look up on my state's database for vaccinations when the parent doesn't send in the form but any out of state transfers we are at the mercy of the parent which means I might not see their immunization report ever. Anyone else have trouble with parents not providing immunization records?
Also, what is your school's policy? Our school sends letters and calls but the child is allowed to stay at school regardless of vaccine status-it just gets noted as a deficiency report to state at the beginning of the year.

They must provide proof (unless they are declared homeless). My registrar has gotten so much better at ensuring I have the appropriate info, and if not where to contact to get it (the previous school). We share a Google sheet that I check all the time.

What are your state requirements? Our district policies follow the state requirements. I am in Texas, our district does not allow enrollment unless we have all the documents in order including a complete immunization record or Exemption Affidavit. In my school, I work together with the registration clerk - she doesn't do any of her part until I have checked the immunizations and cleared student.

State rules say that as long as at least one of the vaccines in the required list is onboard, they can enroll provided they show proof of an appointment to continue the series 30 day window starts upon enrolment. It is truly very seldom where there is no record to check.

In Florida, new enrollments from other districts or states have 30 days to provide us with a physical dated within 1 year prior to enrollment as well as their immunization records. If a student enrolls from a different country, they may not begin school until we have the physical and immunization in hand.

If we do not receive them within 30 days of enrollment they are excluded from school until provided.

Students here have to have 1 dose of everything in order to begin. If they are missing boosters, we can grant them provisional admission and they are granted 12 months to catch up. Physical needs to be in and current within 30 days of start date.
