Uworld Self-Assessment Exam questions

Updated:   Published

Hey guys,

Has anyone heard / know how accurate Uworld's new self-assessment exam is? They recently added (01/01/2017) the new self-assessment portion. I had a friend score a 98% on it and passed her NCLEX in 75 questions. She was the only person I know of that took the self-assessment test. Was wondering if any knows about others that have taken it and scored high/low and passed the NCLEX as well. I took my assessment and scored a 92% so I am a bit worried about my chances of passing the NCLEX now...

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I just graduated in December and am planning on studying for the NCLEX. I apologize but am unfamiliar with the terminology here. Do you have to score higher than 50% on the NCLEX to pass? And what is the percentile translate with the correct questions answered, for example if you score 55% correct answers, how does it translate to 90% percentile? I'm sorry, I'm just confused on how it works...

Hello,

I just passed nclex on the first attempt at 75?s and had scores of 50s and 60s on Uworld. On the uworld predictor I was said to be in the 90th percentile to passing nclex on first time, and an 84% chance based off the ATI predictor. Uworld was the closet to the actual nclex that I came across. I did a minimum of 100s a day from graduation until nclex, more is always better when it comes to questions. Good luck :)

I had a predicting percent on uworld of 90% and 84% on ATIs predictor. I passed nclex this week at 75?s. Uworld is very close to nclex. I felt that both were really hard. More questions is always better, because you never know what nclex will throw at you. Good luck! :)

I used Kaplan and UWorld- on the UWorld Self-Assessment (after studying for a few weeks) I got a 60% which translated to them giving me and 80% chance of passing NCLEX. I passed in 75 questions!!! The best advice I can give is to do tons of practice questions and remediate all of them, right or wrong. I did a lot of 75 question, tutor mode tests on UWorld which was great because I was doing practice and studying content at the same time. I hope that this helps!!

I passed the NCLEX RN on my first attempt with 75Q's. I had a 97% chance of passing NCLEX on my UWORLD assessment and a 98% chance on my ATI. The NCLEX is definitely more broad and vague compared to UWORLD. Just make sure you are dedicating your time to reading the rationales. Each 75 question test I did, I would remediate for 4 hours each. And review my rationales every other day. So when you take our NCLEX you'll come with more fine tuned critical thinking skills as well as content from your rationales. Make sure you understand why you answered certain questions wrong...fine tune those critical thinking skills!! It is not about QUANTITY its all QUALITY. I only did 1800 questions from UWORLD. Good luck to everyone else:nurse:

You are on the track, convekz. My average is on 52nd percentile, and I have 500 questions left. The exam is scheduled on February 7th. What do you think, should I reschedule?

I'm in the same boat as you. My average is on the 52nd percentile, I have around 500 questions left, and I test on Feburary 7th! I am not going to change my test date. I am just going to take with much prayer and a positive attitude.

So, we are twins. Good to hear from you, purplecat. I' m taking nclex for the third time. I studied only uworld this time and feel much confident. How many questions you have left? I have 292 left. My plan to finish them soon and redo my incorrect once. I read these forms a lot and learned this technique from other smart prenurses. Keep me posted and good luck to both of us:)

Purplecat,

How did it go?

Hey nurselola! With much prayer, I was able to remain focused throughout the exam.

I don't remember when my exam shut off. I got to question 99, took a break, then came right back and then it turned off pretty quickly after. The proctor even said, wow you finished very quickly after your break. So between 100-120 questions.

I walked out of there thinking I failed and then my friend called me and the phone call ended with me feeling even worse. I came online to learn how to do the pvt trick and got the good pop up! I heard that it's 99.9% accurate after 24 hours because nclex is also hand graded once, so I'll try again tomorrow and then quick results in 48 hours!

How did it go for you nurselola?

Oh my God!!!!

I feel like I passed now!!!!

I am so happy for you, purplecat. I extended mine because of my low score and repeated taker status. I am so scared to take. But I have hope after your response. I am hopeful now and will update you next Wednesday.

Enjoy your day and be relieved. You definitely passed. Congratulations!!!

I'm glad my post gave you hope! You need to have more confidence and stay positive. It's normal to feel nervous, but it's super important that you remain focused during the exam. I used my mouse to hover over the question and answer choices as I was reading them to make sure I read everything completely.

And go in there with the mindset of taking all 265 questions because you never know when the computer shut off. Good luck with the rest of your studying. I'll keep you posted!

Hi guys,

I need your advice. I'm on the 80th percentile on UWorld but I took the NCLEX ASSESSMENT and scored only 56th percentile. What do you guys think I should do? I did Hurst review, I'm doing 150 questions per day and reading each rationale carefully, and I'm also reading Saunders for my weakness.

Any advice would be appreciated!
