UWG Summer 2014

Hi everyone...

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to University of West Georgia Nursing School starting Summer 2014. We can all support each other and share the information and updates that we know of. I am a current sophomore at UWG. Right now my GPA is at a 3.56. I will be eligible for the bonus given to students that have taken 15 or more hours at West Georgia. Last night I went and toured the new nursing building...awesome! Anyways... hope I can get some feedback! We need a support group!

@nyrvab nope not yet.... Do you attend UWG? I was thinking maybe transfer students will be notified in the mail. But I could be wrong, but I hope not lol

I got my "letter" aka email last night... I at first thought it was a terrible april fools joke, but when others got one I almost screamed (lord knows I don't want to wake up my 2 year old haha).

Congrats to all who got in, if not, keep your chin up... the CNA deadline and fast response to invitation might open some seats for you!

Well...I was unable to suppress my excitement..so I did wake my 2 year old... but she fell back to sleep after mommy settled down...lol

I got accepted at the Newton Campus!! I do not currently attend the school, GPA is a 3.3, I have a degree in Health Education & Promotion from GA Southern.

Not sure which campus I was accepted to yet but my GPA is a 3.6. I'm also a LPN.

I have not received my letter telling which campus-only the email stating my acceptance. I have a 3.80 GPA and got the point for having 15 hours or more at UWG.

I am a nursing student transfer from the Armstrong program in Savannah,GA.I have a previous degree from GA Southern in Chemistry and a 3.2 undergrad GPA.I'll have a 5 month old daughter when I continue the program.Congrats to those that received admissions because that is the hardest part. To those that did not, please do not give up hope.

I was accepted.. I have a 3.6 and received two bonus points (one for having 15 credit hours at UWG, and one for having previous degrees)

Hey.I am also anxiously waiting for the mail of my status.I have not received mine yet.I am a transfer student with a 3.25 GPA.Im so nervous.However i'm glad someone started thid thread.In addition someone on the last page said just wait by April 8 if still nothing then call and find out what happen to your letter.This makes me nervous when others have already received theres fast on apirl 1st..Mail lady just came so well see if anything is for me.:).Keep believing in yourself guys!I don't care where i get in someone just take me in.lol
