UWG Summer 2014

Hi everyone...

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to University of West Georgia Nursing School starting Summer 2014. We can all support each other and share the information and updates that we know of. I am a current sophomore at UWG. Right now my GPA is at a 3.56. I will be eligible for the bonus given to students that have taken 15 or more hours at West Georgia. Last night I went and toured the new nursing building...awesome! Anyways... hope I can get some feedback! We need a support group!

    I will also be applying to UWG Fall 2014. I graduated from Clayton State University in 2007, with a degree in Biology. My GPA is 3.1, and you are soooooo right about needing support. I look forward to this nursing school journey!

    I applies Oct 1 to start this summer. I have a GPA 3.69 and I have one bonus point, for LPN and I am attending UWG at the present time.

    I applied in October and have a 3.39 however, I got accepted to Clayton State University which I accepted. The advisor at UWG told me that they typically don't accept below a 3.5 gpa. I applied anyway because you never know what the cohort will be like. Good luck to all!

    I too have applied for the 2014 admission to UWG's nursing program. It's getting closer and closer to April and I get a little bit more nervous every time I think about it. I'm just patiently waiting on the letter to register for the writing session.

    Check your email! A message was sent out from the nursing department, I also received an email stating there will be no writing session for any of the applicants.

    I have also heard that we may not have to take the written portion. If that is the case, I hope that the decision letters go out sooner than April.
