UWG Summer 2014

Hi everyone...

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to University of West Georgia Nursing School starting Summer 2014. We can all support each other and share the information and updates that we know of. I am a current sophomore at UWG. Right now my GPA is at a 3.56. I will be eligible for the bonus given to students that have taken 15 or more hours at West Georgia. Last night I went and toured the new nursing building...awesome! Anyways... hope I can get some feedback! We need a support group!

AArgh! I just found out that my Fall 2013 transcripts were never sent out from AMC. I was accepted to UWG, they have my undergrad transcripts and AMC transcripts for everything but MTH 1114 Statistics. After grades posted I requested transcripts, paid for it and did application for UWG. Never did I think to double check and make sure they had them. I sent my transcripts to 4 colleges and this is the only one that didn't receive it. I'm stuck on pause right now. Only other program that still has applications this year is Clayton State University Fall 2015 Program, which demands a minimum 3.6/85 Teas. Again Arrrgh!! Good luck everyone, I'm out of the running.

Letters went out 3/28, per nursing department staff!!!!!!!

Nothing in the mail today for me. I have a feeling tomorrow could be the day! :-) exciting! Can't wait to hear if anyone gets their letter today! Good luck all!!!!!

Are yall sure they went out the 28th?? I live very close to the college and I have yet to get anything in the mail...Has anyone gotten theirs yet?

@rayers1 If you haven't gotten yours I probably won't get mine today (haven't checked).. I live in Atlanta. If not Friday then today for sure they were mailed. I am not certain how mail runs at UWG but it's possible they were picked up Saturday and will be out for distribution tomorrow.... Just my take on it.

RNturnbough...How did you hear that they were sent out? Did you just call the Nursing Building?

I called the nursing department this morning and the staff member I spoke with stated that they were mailed Friday.

I still think email acceptance/denial letters would be easier haha.

RNturnbough, someone had mentioned that most schools try not use email to limit certain types of fraud or scam email. It made sense the way that it was explained; also, in some cases, fraud acceptance emails could be created by the student.
