UWG Summer 2014

Published

Hi everyone...

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to University of West Georgia Nursing School starting Summer 2014. We can all support each other and share the information and updates that we know of. I am a current sophomore at UWG. Right now my GPA is at a 3.56. I will be eligible for the bonus given to students that have taken 15 or more hours at West Georgia. Last night I went and toured the new nursing building...awesome! Anyways... hope I can get some feedback! We need a support group!

I have also heard that we may not have to take the written portion. If that is the case, I hope that the decision letters go out sooner than April.

Where did you guys hear that they may not have a writing portion?

I spoke to the Nursing Admissions off about a week ago. The Admin said that they were not planning to have a Writing Session this year. Can anyone confirm this? The info came directly from the source but would like a Second on that--lol

Are denial/acceptance letters supposed to be mailed by April 1st?

Yes, supposedly they were actually seen completed and sealed up in the nursing building before break (all last week). I would assume they will be mailing them Monday (if that "sighting" were true) meaning people in GA should receive them roughly Wednesday or Thursday.

The email sent out awhile ago said they would mail them by April 1st, so if nothing else for sure next week we should all know.

Good luck everyone!

Any word on if the letters were sent out yet?! I am "patiently" waiting:)

Per [email protected] email 03/26/14 @ 13:01 "they have not gone out, they will go out by April 1st".

So if anyone was like me and having fingers crossed for today, it wont happen...

@ RNturnbough...was the email a response to your inquiry or was this a generic email sent to all applicants? Just wondering because the last email I received was from Feb. 14th.

Hey @nyrvab, I forgot to include that, I'm the one who asked. There wasn't anything generic sent out. Sorry for the confusion.

We are only days away now but it feels like forever. I keep checking my mail just in case. Good luck to all of you, we have all worked hard and I know it will pay off.
