UW Transfer BSN 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I'm posting here to get any feedback from previous UWSoN students or current prenursing students who are applying for the 2019 cohort. A little bit about me is that I'm currently a student at OC in Washington, my prereq GPA for UW's required classes is about a 3.81 and my cumulative GPA is a 3.7. I have been working as a CNA/Medication assistant for almost half a year and will be continuing working until I move to Seattle for school. Any advice is greatly appreciated on housing, how to study for the proctored essay, and any way to better my chances! Thank you!

Intent to register form must be submitted by Friday April 26th.

I haven't gotten a confirmation yet- I don't actually know if we are supposed to get that or not?

I haven't posted on here yet, but I have been following this thread for a while! I have also been accepted to the BSN program and was wondering the same thing @berserk_angel. I emailed my intent to register form to SoN but haven't received a response or anything.

Yeah I emailed them as well and haven’t gotten anything back yet. I just have high anxiety and a reply with a confirmation that they received it would help get rid of some of that hahaha

I submitted my form twice just to be sure haha

Congrats to everyone that was accepted! Did every one just receive 2 PDFs in their admissions email? The intent to register and also financial aid info? From the past, I know ppl get a vaccination list, and other documents....and I'm low key paranoid that I'm missing info lol

Yes, I only received two PDFs. It's my understanding that everything else will be sent out in May.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know when orientation will be?

@sm38According to this link, https://nursing.uw.edu/students/orientation/ typically in late September.

Also, as someone else said, the acceptance email mentioned more information about orientation, getting building access cards etc. being emailed out in May :D

@berserk_angel ??‍♀️ Thanks girl. I’m getting flustered and forgetting that I have the ability to look things up haha.

 no worries I gotchu! I was scouring the (not very easy to navigate) SON website for information and found that! We should def know more in May though.

Late to the party, but I just wanted to congratulate everyone who got admitted this year! I'm looking forward to meeting ya'll in September! ?

For those who are interested in meeting with me to discuss your application and areas for improvement, definitely send me an email: [email protected]. My calendar has been filling up fast so try not to wait until the last minute.
