  1. @berserk_angel ??‍♀️ Thanks girl. I’m getting flustered and forgetting that I have the ability to look things up haha.
  2. Hi everyone, Does anyone know when orientation will be?
  3. @ackermc3 I would assume UW general admission will let you know by May/June just like all other applicants, regardless of whether you were waitlisted for the SoN, and I don’t believe that your acceptance to the program will help/hinder that!
  4. @UDub1861 and @Duckygirl8203 thanks for getting back to me! I’ve heard the same, that it’s very unlikely that we won’t get into the UW main campus. My nerves are telling me I forgot something major on my application haha. @berserk_angel oh, that’s awesome! Thanks for letting us know ?
  5. Hi guys, Is anyone else a transfer student? I know it’s probably unlikely, but I’m anxious that I won’t get admitted to the UW and won’t be able to attend the UW SoN. Hopefully I’ll get admitted, but letters don’t go out for a couple more months, so it just doesn’t feel like things are permanent right now. ?
  6. Got my admission email! Congrats to everyone and can’t wait to see y’all this fall ? we should definitely make a GroupMe, or a Facebook page so we can all get to know each other!
  7. @UDub1861 hopefully we’ll only have to pay one... UW’s fee is $310, and I’m sure the SoN’s is about the same if not more. Yikes Also, @Anjee.b, I haven’t applied to any other BSN programs either. They’re either too far or too expensive... if you’re not opposed to going the ADN —> RN to BSN route, definitely apply to community college programs in your area. I’ll be applying to Bellevue college and LW tech ?
  8. Random question: If we do get accepted to the UW SoN, do we have to pay the admission fee for both the SoN AND the UW?
  9. @UDub1861 nope, you don’t have to submit them till they ask you for it later ? I remember having this same question and asking them, and they told me to not worry about submitting anything from winter quarter on until required to do so ^_^ hope that helps! And I’m pretty sure you can take classes in the summer; you just have to have everything done by fall, before the program starts.
  10. I totally get you! I did mine through my employer, and they had a cool online stimulation, and then a kind of “skills test” in person. I’m not sure if that’s how every program through them is done but that’s how mine was and I liked it way better than the Red Cross training I did to get into CNA school.
  11. I would do the BLS through the American heart association tbh. I liked their program better. Jim’s nice but his class is insanely difficult. I’m sure you’ll have better luck w Annalisa haha
  12. @berserk_angel that’s awesome, I’ve heard good things about Annalisa too. I’m currently taking it with Jim. This class was way more difficult for me than A&P but hopefully everything goes smoothly for you!
  13. @berserk_angel I go to BC as well. Who are you taking for micro? I’m finishing it up this quarter.
  14. I’m so so sorry to hear about your brother. But I am glad that you were able to tie this in with your essay. It’s so important to be able to find compassion and have empathy as a nurse. I’m proud of you for being able to talk about it on paper and on this platform ❤️
  15. Yay! I’m glad I got all the math the same as y’all. I picked scenario 1, as I’m the least familiar with care in regards to teenagers as well as substance abuse. I don’t think they were looking for how we would treat the patient, more just how we would grow as nurses and people by caring for the patient.
