UTMB Summer 2016

Hey guys! I couldn't find a thread for UTMB Summer 2016 so I decided to make one. I guess because it's a little early since they just open for applications. This is the first time I use NursingCAS so I'm not quite sure how it work yet. If anyone is familiar with NursingCAS, could you please share your experience? I sent in my transcript 3 days ago and right now I'm working on my personal statement. I saw some previous threads where people mentioned about MyStar and supplemental application/document? Is it something you will receive after you submit everything on NursingCAS?

I had my interview on 12/08 and got an email this past Tuesday (12/22) that I was ACCEPTED!!! I'm so happy, I could cry LOL. Best Christmas gift ever indeed.

Congrats to everyone who just got accepted! I can not wait to meet all of you at orientation! Does anyone know if they made a Facebook page for this class yet?

Hey I have been following the group that starts this semester and they got an email about the fb group about 2 months before everything started. Be sure to look at student reviews of apartments down there. Some of these places are great online, but have horrible reviews

Not yet and as far as the roommate stuff and housing goes I have been reading a lot of reviews online from students about different housing places. Roommate searching and finding should be easier when they create the fb page in a few months.

Me too. I am going to start going through each one this week. I noticed she has the Facebook page listed as UTMB SON class of spring 2017. I'm assuming it's summer. It doesn't look like it has been created yet.

I am confused! I received an email addressing the "Newly Accepted Summer 2016 Students" but I have yet to receive an acceptance letter in the mail or email. I checked my MyStar Portal and it only shows the green dot indicating "Complete".

Hmm I would definitely contact the school. Hopefully that means you are accepted! :) I would take it as a good sign! Good luck!!

Do you have any idea about any of the apartments or anything yet? I know you have posted in the spring class page too with questions so I didn't know if you had been talking much to any of them. I have looked at the parks at cedar lawn and chataeu lafitte, but I still can only do so much online and I don't really know too much. I wish this fb page would hurry and get made so this would all be so much easier. Hope the holidays were great!
