UTMB Summer 2016

Hey guys! I couldn't find a thread for UTMB Summer 2016 so I decided to make one. I guess because it's a little early since they just open for applications. This is the first time I use NursingCAS so I'm not quite sure how it work yet. If anyone is familiar with NursingCAS, could you please share your experience? I sent in my transcript 3 days ago and right now I'm working on my personal statement. I saw some previous threads where people mentioned about MyStar and supplemental application/document? Is it something you will receive after you submit everything on NursingCAS?

Hello all! I just wanted to say thank you for all the helpful information in this list and I wish you the best of luck!! Hopefully we will all get the opportunity to be in nursing school together. I will share my stats as well:

Overall GPA: 3.7

Science: 3.25

TEAS: 78

I submitted my application to NursingCAS at the end of August and barely got it verified 2 days ago. Someone I spoke to from there said they have had an increase in applications this year, so verification is taking between 3-4 weeks and to contact them if it takes any longer! So don't freak if it's taking longer than the suggested 12 days. Since then I've filled out the Supplemental App and am now waiting for the emails for MyStar. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the email about MyStar?

Hey. Theres no thread for Fall 2016, but I have been put on the waitlist. It doesn't say on the email, but do I have to let them know that I wish to stay on the waitlist??

I have been waitlisted for the summer 2018 nursing program. Does anyone know if the admissions committee will accept a "waitlist letter" or a letter of continued interest in the program where I write about my improvements I've made since submitting my application, any awards I've received, etc
