UTMB Summer 2016

Hey guys! I couldn't find a thread for UTMB Summer 2016 so I decided to make one. I guess because it's a little early since they just open for applications. This is the first time I use NursingCAS so I'm not quite sure how it work yet. If anyone is familiar with NursingCAS, could you please share your experience? I sent in my transcript 3 days ago and right now I'm working on my personal statement. I saw some previous threads where people mentioned about MyStar and supplemental application/document? Is it something you will receive after you submit everything on NursingCAS?

Any information will help! Thanks in advance :)

I have still not had an interview yet, and my application was submitted on October 15th, so I'm sure I was among the last to submit. Hopefully I will have an interview next week! I am in the midst of finals at the moment, so I am A-OK with not adding anything else to my schedule this week!

I just turned down my offer from Texas A&M's nursing school after attending open house for UTMB yesterday. I was so impressed with the program and faculty that the choice became obvious. Excited to start in May!

Does anyone else still need to take a natural science elective? I just got informed that I needed this prerequisite, and I don't know which class to sign up for. I was thinking physical geology. [h=3][/h]

Ok you guys...just finished my interview. And it wasn't bad at all! There was nothing questioned that I would recommend studying for, just a sort of "getting to know you" interview. The professor was very nice and I feel really good about it over all. For all of you freaking out about it.....relax, breath, and be yourself!

Congrats to everyone that has made it and is getting interviews! Try not to fret though and remember that when you interview it is as much about finding out if you will be a good fit for the program as it is you finding out if the program and atmosphere will be a good fit for you. Looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation!

Hi guys! I've been following this thread for a few months and never commented bc i was so stressed from reading and stressing myself out!

lol however i had my interview on 12/11. and i found out 10 days later that i am accepted!

I was wondering , is there a zero interest student loan bank? or how does financial aid & grants work in the summer??

if there is a page to join please let me know:)

Greetings! I am new to allnurses and just started looking at this thread. I have a green dot on my MyStar and have yet to hear back yet for an interview. I applied two days before the deadline so I wasn't too worried but since I'm hearing people are getting accepted already I'm starting to get antsy lol I'm curious at what number you called. Hopefully I wasn't overlooked :arghh:

i literally applied on the day OF the deadline. literally 10/15! i almost cried when i thought that the deadline was 10/14/15 at midnight (technically 10/15) since i applied on 10/15 early in the morning . idk if that makes sense but anyhow i had my interview on 12/11! but they said they are still doing interviews, so i don't think you should worry too much! hang in there

I just got my acceptance email!!! Omg I am so excited!!!! I was not expecting to get this before January 1!! What an awesome Christmas gift!!! I can't wait to meet you all!! I'm on cloud 9!

That's awesome! Congrats! So you found out in less than 2 weeks? What a blessing! I just interviewed the 18th and they said it will be 3-4 weeks before I hear anything.

I am wondering the same thing! Did it let you pay the 200 admissions fee? I accepted from my iPad and it wouldn't let me pay. I have been working with the college today to get this taken care of. I know there is a FB page, but I'm not sure who the administrator is. Congrats!!! I am still all paranoid, because I can't apply for scholarships until it says I'm a student. Is your circle green again and says complete? It's hard to tell if I did the acceptance correctly. Did Any of y'all have issues like this?

Well, everything seems to be okay. Finally contacted someone who confirmed that my acceptance went through and I'll just have to call Monday the 4th to make sure they received my payment. Whew! What a relief.

They are closed until January 4, so if you haven't heard back I'm sure you will that week! She also said they've been working a lot on spring 2016 and dealing with getting students registered. So no worries if you didn't hear anything. Don't be discouraged! Good luck. Merry Christmas to you all!
