UTMB Summer '09 Applicants

I'm wondering who applied for the UTMB Summer 2009 semester, and if they have received any news from UTMB. My status says "pending", and all my information was received. I don't know how big the applicant pool is considering the hurricane. I haven't seen any news on here about UTMB recently, so anything is appreciated. Thanks.

Guess what happened today at the bookstore!! I met an author doing book signings for his new novel. I approached him, and he told me about his new biomedical fiction thriller. It seemed interesting to me, of course, and then he told me it was set in Galveston. I looked at it, and realized he is an M.D. professor at UTMB!! I was so excited! haha. I told him I was wanting to get into the nursing program there, and he was really nice. He said he sometimes teaches a few nursing classes, and wished me luck. We didn't speak for long, but he happily signed a copy of his book for me. It was a nice surprise. Now I'm even more excited and hopeful about UTMB.

Interview is next Friday- March 13th.. every 30 mins beginning at 830am- 430pm.

I think it may also depend on last name, first name. My last name starts with "M" so maybe that has something to do with it...?

Well, I talked to the lady whos number thuynhle gave to us and she said the batch of emails has already been sent out. I guess it doesn't matter what your last name starts with then. Wow this sucks. I'm pretty devastated. She did say however that 60 people are being granted admission and if anyone declines then they start calling people on the waitlist. So I guess this is it.......

I am sooooo excited. I just got a call on my cell phone from the admissions office for the nursing program. I GOT AN INTERVIEW for March 13th. Yippeeee!!! Good luck to everyone. She said someone would call and let me know what time.
