I'm wondering who applied for the UTMB Summer 2009 semester, and if they have received any news from UTMB. My status says "pending", and all my information was received. I don't know how big the applicant pool is considering the hurricane. I haven't seen any news on here about UTMB recently, so anything is appreciated. Thanks.
Yeah I assume when accepted the aid department will contact you. But you could call them and ask. I get all my stuff from military so mine is a little simpler. Also award letters for 2009-2010 school year dont usually go out until like june I think. So any aid for 2008-09 is probably already awarded. It is really confusing stuff for sure. I was wondering about scholarships because all these different semester starts, it makes it really hard to apply for any if you wanted to. I guess I dont have any answers on this just more questions myself sorry LOL!
my prereq was 3.2 and overall 3.65. but usually as long as you meet minumum gpa of 2.5 you are okay I think. but they look at other factors like how many drops and other inidicators that show you will finish the program and not quit after a couple of months. I would say u probably got in if you met min requirements including background ck and net test score etc... I heard they barely had enough applicants to fill the class this year due to hurricane. Also if you didnt get accepted dont give up because many will likely choose to go somewhere else like UTMB later when BSN acceptances letters are mailed out. Goodluck
I am not completely sure, but I think they send you an e-mail first. Then they mail you a packet of information through the post office....I think that's what happens. Also, if you check the status on your e-connect it might update early, but I'm not completely sure. I know that this week is UTMB spring break, and it might take a week and a half to two weeks for them to get the e-mails out. Good luck!!
I had a question for you guys regarding GPA. I am calculating my Science GPA and these are the classes I am taking into account: A&PI, A&PII, Micro, Chemistry, Nutrition & Human Growth and Development (and Pathophysiology when I finish it). My question is, do I need to add Sociology and Psychology in that as well? Also, am I missing any other classes for my science GPA?
I included sociology and psychology when I calculated mine. Go to this link:

Go to BSN pre-licensure program. That gives you a form to help with calculating the GPA. This is what I used, and I calculated the science gpa using all the sciences (including statistics).
