UTMB Summer '09 Applicants

I'm wondering who applied for the UTMB Summer 2009 semester, and if they have received any news from UTMB. My status says "pending", and all my information was received. I don't know how big the applicant pool is considering the hurricane. I haven't seen any news on here about UTMB recently, so anything is appreciated. Thanks.

I think I will be moving near Nasa Rd. (Seabrook), clear lake, or league city. I need a cheap apt. that is nice enough....

My hubby works in houston, so we will both be commuting.

I want to get the itouch 16G!! I was looking on the UTMB website under "pda discounts", and I'm really excited that we can use the itouch! Haha, I have been wanting this little thing for a while, and now I might have an excuse to buy it! YAY

Hey guys.. so what did yall think?! It wasnt too bad right?!

I was interviewed by Ms. Ruth and she was sooooooo nice and made me feel so comfortable.

I asked and they said we should hear back by the end of march. The committee is going to meet again and then decides.

Oh well.. i guess we have to wait again! Good-Luck Everyone! =)

I think I did pretty well in my interview. I was interviewed by Ms. ******** ***. She was SUPER nice!!! I am so excited!

Awesome!! Even though I didn't get invited to an interview, I am very excited for all of you. =) Hope you all do very well and get in!! I am hoping for Fall, or maybe on the waiting list if anyone denies the offer.

I think they are going to do more interviews??? I don't know, but I heard they might do some more on another day. I could tell they were interested in people who were finished with all pre-reqs, and who had completed the background check/ Immunizations/ CPR certifications and everything else. I still have to get my TB skin test, and my Tdap (tetorifice) shot. Other than that I have everything done.

I had my interview at 0830 on 13 mar. It went okay but never really know unless you get accepted. Dont remember lady interviewers name but she was real nice like the rest of them. She ended interview with I think I would be very happy to have you as a nurse taking care of me. Nice thing to say but maybe they say that to everyone? I got my acceptance today at local Galveston community college nursing program for fall 09. So if UTMB decides to pass on me I have a sure thing back up plan approved. I memorized questions asked during interview and will post in a few days for those interested for future interviews. Good luck all and post when letters arrive in future.
