UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Hey Everyone. I'm new to this forum, but I'm really glad that i've found it and now I am OBSESSED with it. I've read all the forums from 2011 AND 2012. Congratulations to everyone that have gotten interviews and admission so far. I have a question. Is anyone having problems with their MyStar accounts?!?

To everyone else waiting on invites, I went to the open house yesterday, and got some promising information. Apparently SOME invites went out Friday and more are to go out Monday. This is for the interviews they will be having Wednesday and Thursday. Also Monday they will meet again to decide for interview the following week. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

To everyone else waiting on invites, I went to the open house yesterday, and got some promising information. Apparently SOME invites went out Friday and more are to go out Monday. This is for the interviews they will be having Wednesday and Thursday. Also Monday they will meet again to decide for interview the following week. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Did you get to tour the skills lab??? I wondered if it was because of the group of current students that did out tour...

Sounds like they waited until that absolute last minute possible and now are going to have to pump them out FAST! Maybe its a good thing. Im so nervous for my interview. I found an outfit that I like... I think.

Thanks so much for the reply. I've been trying to log into MyStar every sine Friday and I have been unable to and it is FREAKING me out! Wonder if that means anything. I even went back to the original email with my login info to be sure (even though I memorized my ID # long ago)! Anyway thanks for the info. That does sound promising, at least for me because I'm still waiting to hear something back, ANYTHING! When you say that some invites went out friday were they by email? I didnt see anyone post on here that they got one. Also the messag that you say you have on your MyStar I haven't seen either. Well at least mine said complete back when I could get into I guess LoL. Love the welcome sign BTW! Thanks.

No I wanted to but they said it was closed on Saturdays.

And yeah definitely, but as long as it gets going. The lady I spoke to also told me that rejection letters won't be a last minute thing either. So hopefully that holds true, because whatever it is, i just want to KNOW!

When is your interview, and what did you finally decide on?

No problem lavender! MyStar doesn't say that, but the lady from student services told me it would continue to say incomplete until then. As far as the friday invites, i'm not sure because you're right, no one posted on here. But who knows, and they are usually via e-mail because with such short notice, there's no way they could be using snail mail.

That's great news! Did they say anything about those who've already gotten interviewed, by chance? I haven't been to an open house yet... Maybe I should go??

She is supposed to email me with my interview date and time as soon as she knows the time frames for the next group. She apparently organizes and schedules the interviews for the students they choose to interview so she said I should know something by Monday or Tuesday. I am super nervous :/ Hopefully since they have waited so long the mext group of =interviews will onlyhave to wait a little compared to those of you who interviewed early.
