UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Had an interview today. My interviewer said we should have a decision in about 2 weeks.. but sounds like they're on 2 different pages. Hopefully the end of November isn't true. That's pretty late to have to get ready for school, only gives about a month to get ready

Also I wonder if they focus more on grades for traditional applicants, I'm going for BACC2 but there was no mention of my grades at all

How'd it go rocket ryder? I figured you would all be talking about your interviews today, but hadn't seen anything on here. Let us know what it was like if you want... we'd love to hear.

Congrats to all that interviewed today! I hope it went well... Although I have to admit I would have had to bite my tongue for sure if someone told me that acceptnces wouldnt go out until end of Novemeber...I eman seriously ?! Do they expect us to just pull 4grand out of our *you know where*?!!! 1 month is hardly enough time to secure financial aid and loans in order to have it all in line by the time tuition is due :(

I unforutnately had to reschedule my interview... I was sooooooo wanting to do it today! I was heartbroken, but after recieveving the info that the 'retake' essay form test would lower my highest possible score since it would be "my choice" to skip the test, I couldn't risk possibly lowering my grade in skills to an unrecoverable level. (BTW I made a 92! )

When I spoke with the lady for the interviews, she completely understood my situation and said it would be just fine and that she would let me know as soon as she knows the date for the next batch and I will be in with those. Apparently I am NOT the only one who needs rescheduling for these things. Even heard about someone doing a phone interview once due to her extremem scheduling and she still got in :)

I wish it was over with for sure!!! I will def post up when I know my day and time. I am soooo nervous!

To make matters worse, I got my clinical 1 assignment yesterday...Im going to be at UTMB on Tuesdays for 8 weeks starting late October...Hopefuly I get accepted so I will look forward to going to clinicals. If I don't get in its going to really be a grain of salt in the wound every Tuesday when I am there from 6:30 am - 7pm.....

I just got off the phone with B.R and she informed me that acceptance letters will be going out Monday.

I sure hope so because it's hard to concentrate on anything else when you're waiting! C'mon Monday lets get this show on the road...!:yawn:
