UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

The first batch must have been of been a tough pool to decide on! Guys guess were gonna have to wait to week 5!

I also had my interview today for the traditional program. I think it went well, I was able to clarify a few things regarding a couple of unsatisfactory grades and my interviewer was extremely nice and laid back. He did, however, tell me not to expect to hear much back until the end of November when I asked. He said that every nursing school is different, but they're all disorganized. I appreciated his honesty lol...but I also hope that we DEFINITELY hear something sooner than that! Good look to those that are awaiting a decision!

Erika, did they have your transcript there, bc i read i. Last years thread said most interviewers had no idea about grades

That's what i thought, too! but yes, that was actually the first thing he addressed when we got to his office.

I think we had the same interviewer because I was told the same thing! Although I'm praying it's earlier!

Yes! I hope it's much sooner than that...although, from the way the first round of interviewee's have been waiting, he may be right. But, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed!

Hey guys I also interviewed today for the accelerated program. Just for some reassurance the lady that interviewed me also said that we probably won't hear back until the end of November or early December. I see in early post people were hearing 2-4 weeks.

I have a TON of unsatisfactory grades. I wonder why my interviewer didn't ask about them.
