UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

I take my TEAS V on June 14th. I'm not really putting my hopes on UTMB because I didn't score that well on the online practice tests I bought from ATI. From what I understand the online practice tests are a reflection on real TEAS scores, but I'm not sure.

I did not buy the online ones...I just used the 2 from the back of the book and my scores were almost spot on with my real score. I have heard that the online practice test scores were averaging about 10 points lowere than the real thing for some....so keep your chin up!

SO...I just submitted my online application and it prompted me to print a page. There is a place for a signature and date. I am assuming I need to date and sign it and get it to UTMB...it doesn't say anything about doing so, but I am assuming. Did anyone get an email acknowledging their application has been submitted? If so, how long after you submitted it before that email showed up?

Yes, I also had to print a page when I was done. However, I didn't sign/mail anything back and my application went through fine.

How long after you submitted your app online did it take to hear anything via email or snail mail? I haven't gotten anything yet....just wondering if I should worry or if it takes a few days?

I got a response within 48 hours via email; it was my log-in information (it comes in 2-3 emails) to check the status of my application, to see what they info they still needed from me. But other than that, I haven't received anything.

Have you received that email?

Thanks, I will. I got a 76 on the practice test, but then again that is just practice and I was studying a lot more than now! I just hope I get about the same tomorrow.
