Hey Guys!
I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!
Hmmm...I received my scores right after the test. The assistant had printed them and gave me a copy. After I finished the test, I asked him how I could see my scores and thats when he went and grabbed the printed copy for me. You get a score for each section. Also, the sections appear in the same order as the practice tests from the book (reading, math, science, then grammar). When I was studying for reading I was having the same problems with the topic and main idea stuff but on the test they seemed easier then in the book. Good luck to those taking it tomorrow!! Let us know how it goes!
Yes you can take it aas many times as needed, but they will recieve the scores everytime you do. They do not disregard the previous or lower scores...They are considered as a whole. Hopefully you do not do worse the second go around, because I have a feeling it would hurt you more than help you!
As for MY test I took this afternoon.....I MADE A 90.7% OVERALL!!!!
I am so super excited!!! HAPPY DANCE!

Ok... Im done... But in all seriousness, it wasn't too bad. I actually feel as though I may have done a bit better if I hadn't had to pee so badly halfway through! The testing center wasnt too bad....It is small and there were 2 guys proctoring it. I was in the smaller of the 2 rooms and took about 2 1/2 hours to finish. My scheduled time was at 2:30pm and I showed up right at 1pm and they let me go ahead and start!
Made a 90.5% in Reading, 86.7% in Math, a 91.7% in Science, and a 93.3% in English....which was pretty funny considering Math is normally my "strong" area. The score report they printed out for me breaks everything down. Its pretty awesome!

CONGRATS!!! Those are really really good scores.
Would you say the ATI Book, practice tests in the ATI book, or the online practice tests helped?
I honestly don't think I would have done that well without that practice book! It helped a lot. I have been out of school for a while and it really helped get with certain things that I had forgotten. I really only looked at it for about 4 or 5 days a couple hours at a time though. I was scoring around 88-92 on the practice test in the back of the book so those are pretty consistent in my case.
I really hope its enough to get me an interview... I will be finishing up my personal statement and uploading my unoffical transcripts tomorrow so I can send off my app....
Hi guys! I'm also applying for the UTMB Spring '12 program. I completed my application Friday and it showed up today as complete, so I'm just praying for an interview soon!
I took the TEAS back in April and got a decent score...within the 'competitive' range for UTMB according to ******. I bought the study guide, but never even opened it because I was so overwhelmed with work/school in the spring. I am now kicking myself in the butt because of that, but still keeping my fingers crossed!
Anyways, good luck to all! :)
