Hey Guys!
I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!
Nah, I don't mind. My overall GPA is 3.92 and I scored a 90% on the TEAS. When I took the online practice test the night before I scored 74% though so that made me super nervous! The test was honestly not that bad though. The math section was very easy so I woud focus on the science when you are studying. My worst section was reading and best was science and math, which was different then what I would have expected, especially since I have not taken A&P II and micro yet!!
Those are great scores.
Thank you :) I studied really hard for the TEAS, even going so far as reading through my chemistry text and A&P I notes in addition to the study guide. As for my GPA, my boyfriend had to teach me how to have a life outside of my school work!! Lol
Did they let you use a calculator that is embedded in the test?
I was freaking out about that until I did the practice test in the back of the book...only missed 2 on it so I think I am good in the math dept..... Am a little worried about the reading section. I am having a hard time getting the"Topic, Details, Theme, Main Idea" questions correct! Hopefully their aren't many. Also, in the grammar I am struggling with subjest verb agreement and a little with simple sentence stuff, but I am getting better at those.
The Science, I figure all I can do is read whats in the book and hope it jogs my memory a little before tomorrow. I haven't taken CHEM in about 7 years and I didnt do well in it then!....so Im rusty. From what I am hearing and reading..there is a lot of Chem on it, but I am crossing my fingers there isn't.
All in all I feel pretty prepared. Is the format of the test done in sections? Reading, Grammar, Math and Science...are they broken down to be able to chose whcih I want to work on first? and will it show my individual score for each section right after I am done with that section? or does it wait until you are completely done to show scores?
