Hey Guys!
I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!
Nothing has been changed on mine, do u have a contact/ number for me to talk to someone? Thanks any info would be appreciated
Yeah just call (409)-772-1215, thats the number of the registrar's office, and then you select the number for whichever your last name falls under. They can only give you information regaring the completeness of your app, and if it has been sent to the SON. After that, you'd have to call Dora to find out any other information. Her number is on the website.
Oh and Tzorra, wow thats a bit of a drive, I didn't realize the island was that big lol.
Punky- I'm not sure if anyone has asked you this but what does your schedule look like for this semester?
Confusedness Discombobulation. Disarray. All of EPIC proportions.
Was just discussing our admission process with classmates today and we all quickly agreed that admissions was a breeze compared to the first two weeks. Seriously.
In general....
Most clinicals are on Mondays and Tuesday, every other week. If it's your off week, then you're on campus in labs 8-4
Some clinical groups are Tuesday/Friday and there are two groups that meet EVERY Saturday for 12 hr shifts - so those folks get every other M/T off from school.
Wednesday/Thursday is in class 9-3.
Fridays we are off, unless you are a Tuesday/Friday group, then you have every other Monday/Friday off.
We had our pathophysiology and pharmacology courses separated, so we will have mandatory summer school (that was changed on us AFTER we were all accepted!!)
For those of you who will start in the spring, your patho/pharm will *not* be separate courses.
I wonder how long does it take for them to review our application because i was told that they were reviewing my application but my mystar still says incomplete this is getting depressing!
My MyStar is incomplete and I have a Interview for Friday so don't worry too much about the MyStar website... I finished all my Pre req and I have my AA
I just finished my second week of class and mystar has an incomplete. Don't fret. Call and verify what they have/need then don't pay much attention to that. That 'I' doesn't mean it won't get reviewed or you can't interview. Just verify what they do have.
About my Interview:
I'm glad I arrived 30 minutes earlier because I was able to Interview at 10 am rather than 10:30. My Interviewer was a sweet lady who has been in Nursing for 48 years and she was very helpful throughout the process. The Interview lasted about 30 minutes and covered a series of questions. My advice is to don't worry about being nervous because it wasn't really as bad as I though but i was stumped on one questions that is replaying in my head. Overall it was great and good luck to everyone else who interviewed today. I was told 2 thru 4 weeks for the turn around for acceptance! Hopefully the next batch will go out soon for those that are waiting. Now the actual wait begins oh my!
