Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

I have been calling for two days now and Friday last week and all I get is the answering machine. I had a question to ask about my application before the close date!

Welcome to the thread :) Thats a bummer you didnt get in for the fall.....Did you at least get an interview? Stats for GPA and TEAS? If you don't mind sharing...

I did get an interview, and they kept me waiting a month and a half to let me know. But in some ways, its better to know (even if its bad) than to be stuck in a sort of limbo waiting and holding plans. I was in the 90th percentile on the TEASE with a 3.6 gpa. I am gonna drive down (I am from Austin) to have an appointment with Dr. Cuellar to find out what went wrong...

Anyway, I was/am pretty bummed about it, but I will enjoy life a little while I wait for the spring. Word to the wise: be prepared for a rough ride into acceptance. Some people luck out and have an easy time with the whole process, but a lot of people have had a frustrating and disappointing experience. Stay positive, and keep focus on the long run, because this is a great school! (Of course we all know that! thats why we are so hopeful )

I can't get through to enrollment services either! I've emailed and called and left messages but nothing....I finally got someone on the phone yesterday only to be transferred to yet another person who didn't answer the phone. So frustrating!!

I think they do it for a reason....they probably get bombarded with questions at the last minute. My app on mystar still says incomplete but have been told its ok since it is just because I have some courses in progress. I don't feel very comfortable with that and I will be mighty upset if it causes a error and I get thrown out of the running.

I still have some courses in porgress, but my app on mystar says complete. Also, when I look under my to do list it says all I have to do is submit the complete transcript when I am done taking the class.

that's exactly what mine says except that under my to do list it says that my teas scores are initiated..i have no clue what that means and enrollment service isn't helping either...

How long did it take to receive access to mystar? Haven't gotten logon info as of yet.

took about 2-3 days for mine to come and I applied about 2 weeks ago. Now they r prolly swamped and it may take longer.

Did you apply through NursingCAS? That's what I did, and I don't have access to anything yet... I just want to know if they have my TEAS scores!!! At the open house this past weekend I was told to call enrollment services and they would help with everything. I even got a card from the woman who did the presentation with her direct phone number but she doesn't answer or call back.....
